Thank you to the city of Houston, H Town for getting it done last night. Rockets made things more interesting than they had to be but we got the double dip on the Astros. We went 2-2 last night thanks to a collapse by the Capitals but with the jackhammer hitting we came out with a profitable night. 2 units 3 units, 5 units - whatever the fuck you wanted to bet you could have. That’s now 6-1 in JACKHAMMERS in the last 7 days. What’s that? You all want another one tonight? OK.
Bruins ML / Red Sox ML (+146) - JACKHAMMER - The Bruins are coming off of a Game 7 win at home on Tuesday night and the Blue Jackets have been sitting around waiting for this series for 9 days. Having that much time off between playoff series can really take away the momentum teams build up when they win the first series so easily. The Bruins won 2 of 3 against the Blue Jackets in the regular season and won the most recent game 6-2. The Bruins are the best team left in the East and all of the momentum is on their side for tonight’s Game 1 at The Garden. The Red Sox scored 11 runs last night and they should stay hot tonight against Jordan Zimmerman who they have a .413 avg & .783 slg% against in 46 at bats. If it wasn’t for Gordon Beckham, the Tigers lineup only has 5 combined at bats against Porcello. I think that’s just the matchup he needs to get his first win of the season tonight.
Blue Jackets / Bruins Over (5.5) - 2 of the 3 regular season matchups between these two teams went way over with scores of 7-4 and 6-2. The Blue Jackets scored 3 or more goals in all four of their playoff games. The Bruins scored 4 or more goals in 4 of their 7 playoff games. I know Sergei Bobrovsky stood on his head against the best offense in the NHL in the last series but having all that time off is going to hurt him. I think this game is going to be similar to the high scoring matchups we saw between these two in the regular season and I don’t usually predict exact scores but I like the Bruins to win this one 5-2 or 5-3.
Yankees / Angels Over (8) - Tanaka and Cahill must start for action in this one. The Angels lineup has good numbers against Tanaka and they come in hitting .288 in 66 at bats against him. Trevor Cahill comes in with a 5.47 earned run average and got pounded in his last start for 5 earned in 4.1 innings. Both of these teams have gone over 8 in 4 of their last 5 games - that’s an 80% trend. Take the over!
