3-1 last night on a major day for us with 4 jackhammers. A lot of you hit me up and CRUSSSSSSSSHED the MLB picks yesterday so it was good to see after a slow start to the week. The one loss was due to a blatant no call that led to the game winning goal for the Blues. 4-0 would have been monsterous for us but 3-1 on jackhammers in a single day is still a BIG step in the right direction. Now let’s close out this week with a BANG.
Red Sox (Porcello) (-114) - The Red Sox will return home tonight after sweeping the Royals this week. The offense has been looking good with Mookie back in the lead off spot (imagine that) not sure why Cora messed around with it earlier in the year since this lineup led the league in runs scored per game last year. Yonny Chirinos will start for the Rays and I’d consider him an opener but he has actually pitched 4 or more innings in 9 of his 11 appearances this season. This Red Sox lineup has hit him hard in the past and they come in with a .308 avg in 52 at bats against him. Rick Porcello will pitch for the Red Sox and he has held this Rays lineup to a .254 avg in 138 at bats. I like the Sox to stay hot tonight.
Pirates Over (3.5) - JACKHAMMER - The Pirates will face Brandon Woodruff who they RUFFED up just six days ago when they put up 10 hits and 6 earned runs in 4 innings. They scored 10 total runs in that game. The Pirates averaged 6.5 runs per game over the 4 game series against the Brewers pitching last weekend. They have scored 3 or more runs in 4 of their last 5 games and are averaging 6 runs per game in that span. They have UNBELIEVABLE numbers against Woodruff and come in hitting .415 in 41 career at bats. I’m tempted to take the +220 moneyline in this one but I do have questions about the Pirates starting pitcher. The Pirates team total over 3.5 seems like the no brainer play in this one and that’s what we are going with tonight.
Dodgers (Kershaw) (-1.5) - JACKHAMMER - Clayton Kershaw will pitch for the Dodgers and he has held this Giants lineup to a .177 avg in a huge sample size of 232 career at bats. That’s quite impressive but what’s even more impressive is that this Giants lineup only has 1 career homerun against him in 232 at bats. Drew Pomeranz will start for the Giants and he allowed 3 runs in 4 innings against the Dodgers earlier this season, the Dodgers ended up winning that game 10-3. Pomeranz is 1-6 with an 8.08 earned run average. I like the Dodgers to cover this -1.5 tonight.
Raptors Over (105) - JACKHAMMER - Did you see the defense that the Warriors played the other night? Me either because they didn’t play any defense. The Raptors are averaging 115 points per game in this series and they are averaging 118 points per game in the five games against the Warriors this season. They have gone over 105 in 4 of the 5 games against the Warriors this season (80% trend). The Raptors have all the confidence in the world after winning on the road in Game 3 and they will look to take a commanding 3-1 lead tonight. With the way they are playing right now, I think they go over 105 win or lose tonight.
Bonus Player Prop:
THIS IS ONLY VALID IF KLAY THOMPSON IS NOT PLAYING.
Steph Curry Total Points Over (32.5) - Without Thompson, Curry was a one man wrecking crew without Thompson or Durant in the lineup in Game 3 dropping 47.
