6/8 VIP Picks

1-2-1 and the Raptors push at 105. 1 point away from a winning night with 2 hammers hitting and the Raptors missed 50 shots. 1 point. That’s really the luck that we have had this week and we absolutely need a big Saturday/Sunday combo. 7-1 last Sat/Sun so let’s see if we can match that or do better.

MLB:

4:10 EST

Braves (Teheran) (-150) - The Braves love them some Trevor Richards and that’s what they will get today. They come in with a .357 avg & .571 slg% against him in 28 at bats. Julio Teheran has always been good against the Marlins in his career and he has held them to a .237 avg in 131 at bats. The Braves just beat the Marlins 7-1 last night and they are 6-1 against them this year. I love the Braves today.

4:10 EST

Phillies (Pivetta) (-130) - The Phillies have won their last three games and they will go for the four game winning streak today. The Phillies lineup must be anxious to get to the ballpark and tee off against Tanner Roark today who they are hitting .300 against in a huge sample size of 177 at bats. Nick Pivetta will pitch for the Phils and he is coming off of 6 scoreless innings against a potent Dodgers lineup. He has held this Reds lineup to a .263 avg in 38 at bats. The Reds have lost 4 of their last 5 and I think their losing ways will continue today.

7:15 EST

Rockies (Gray) (Even) - What do you do when you can get even money for a team that his hitting .400 against the opposing starting pitcher in 75 at bats? You take it! That’s exactly what the Rockies bring to the table tonight against Mets starter Steven Matz. Jon Gray will start for the Rockies and he has only faced 5 Mets players before but he has held them to a .176 avg in 17 at bats.

9:05 EST

A’s (Bassitt) ML - This moneyline isn’t listed yet just make sure Bassitt and Sampson are starting this game before you bet on it. Game 2 of this double header tonight the A’s will face Adrian Sampson who they pounded the last time they faced him for 7 runs in 4 innings. They have a .419 avg & .807 slg% in 31 at bats against him. Chris Bassitt will start for the A’s and he has held this Rangers lineup to a .200 avg in 40 at bats.

Belmont Stakes:

0-2 on horse races this year and we took the same horse in the first two races. I’m not documenting this one as an official play because I think it’s a toss up but I’ll personally be taking War of Will currently listed at 3/1.
