10/11 VIP Picks

Slow start to the week but right when we needed a HUGE day that’s exactly what we got! 3-0 night with a 5X JACKHAMMER, regular JACKHAMMER, & an NHL underdog for +6.82 units depending on if you double or tripled down on the regular JACKHAMMER. Great night and momentum builder for the weekend! Let’s get into tonight’s picks! Koooooooofsports!

NHL:

7:35 EST

Hurricanes (-175) - The Hurricanes have started the season 4-0 and they have already put together a few good wins over the Capitals, Panthers, & Lightning. The Canes were 24-13-4 at home last season but it hasn’t mattered where they have played this season, they are 2-0 at home and 2-0 on the road. The Islanders are just 1-2 and tonight will be their first road game of the season. I think the Canes will stay hot at home tonight and I’ll drink the juice on this one 🥤

NCAAF:

Virginia / Miami Over (43) - Both of these teams come in with similar averages with both teams averaging 32 points per game on offense and 21 points allowed per game on defense. I’m expecting the game tonight to be somewhere in between on both sides of the ball and that looks like a perfect recipe for the over in this one at 43.5. Virginia put up 20 vs a good Notre Dame defense and Miami put up 20 against a GREAT Florida defense. Virginia QB Bryce Perkins has thrown for 1,177 yards and 8 scores this season but he has also thrown 6 picks and I expect Miami to force a pick or two tonight that will give them a short field to work with and put up points. N’Kosi Perry will start at QB for Miami and he threw for 422 yards in relief last week so he’s coming into this game confident. Virginia has had more time to prepare with a bye week and Miami comes in on a short week. I think this one is going over 43. MLB: 8:08 EST Nationals / Cardinals Over (8) - Both of these teams combined for 20 runs in their Game 5’s against better pitching than they will see today. Both lineups have had success against the opposing starting pitchers. The Nationals come in hitting .381 in 84 at bats against Miles Mikolas and he is just 9-14 in the season. The Cardinals come in hitting .295 in 88 at bats against Anibal Sanchez. Both pitchers will probably have short leaches with such high stakes but I like our chances to get 4 a side in this one. The Nats scored 4+ runs in 4 of the 5 NLDS games and the Cardinals scored 4+ runs in 3 of their 5 NLDS games. Both of these teams put up those numbers in the last series and still left 65 runners on base! The key is that they have hot guys on base and have had scoring opportunities. I think that will continue tonight against pitchers they have had success against and this one should go over.

8:08 EST Nationals (+1.5) - Very rarely do we take the reverse run lines but I think tonight is a good spot for it. I like the Nats to win this game tonight as underdogs but getting a 1 .5 run cushion is a higher percentage play and that’s what we need to build on last nights 3-0 night. I also LOVE the fact that 81% of the public are taking the Cardinals to cover the -1.5. The Nats are coming in with a .381 avg in 84 at bats against Miles Mikolas and they just beat him 6-2 on September 17th. I think the Nats will come out with an aggressive approach at the plate and get an early lead in this one. As mentioned in the pick above I think both teams will put up runs but I’m comfortable with that 1.5 run cushion for the Nats.
