10/17 VIP Picks

1-2 last night won’t kill us but it does suck that the Sabres have only lost 2 of their 7 games this season and both of those L’s came when we bet on them. This is the “anniversary” week for KofSports. 10/12/2015 I placed a $32 5 team parlay Mets -1.5, Royals -1.5, Cubs -1.5, Blue Jays ML, and Lightning -1.5. My $32 won me $1,592. I decided to create a twitter account named @kofsports and post the screenshot. Since that day, I have provided 3-5 (sometimes more) picks per day with in depth analysis and the business has grown to levels that I never could have imagined back when I first started it. I have visions to grow the business even more and I need to take the right steps at the right time to make that happen. I’ve never made the wrong decision when it comes to the business management side. With that said, I want to make you all aware of the price increases being put in place. BUT, before you panic, I can assure all of you who are on recurring plans already, you will continue to receive the same rate that you are currently signed up for for the length of your current membership. Let me clarify, there will not be any price increases for current memberships. If you are on the weekly plan, you will continue to get $25 per week through the lifetime of your membership. However, if you cancel your membership and come back, you will have to pay the new rates. It took a lot of consideration but I wanted to get the long term rates in line with the daily rates, so here are the new rates - Daily $10, Weekly $40, Monthly $99, 3 Month $250. A lot of people want the yearly plan and if you reach out to me directly, we can make that happen. Please reach out to me directly with any questions or concerns. There will also be another business development announcement later today that you all will be excited to hear. KOOOOOOOOOOOOFSPORTS! MLB: 8:08 EST Yankees (Tanaka) (-128) - The Yankees lucked out with the rainout last night because they were planning on a bullpen day. It feels like the rainout shifts the momentum to the Yankees after the Astros had all of the momentum after taking a 2-1 series lead on Tuesday. Masahiro Tanaka will start for the Yanks tonight as they look to even the series up. Tanaka was great in Game 1 and only allowed 1 hit through 6 scoreless innings. He has only allowed 3 earned runs in 18 innings against the Astros this season. Zack Grienke was good all season but there is no excuse for the 2 losses he has suffered by 7 runs in each game in the playoffs. He didn’t give up all of those runs but he has been hit HARD in both of his starts. Gleyber Torres was the hero in Game 1 for the Yanks with 2 RBI’s on his double and homerun. He has raked against Greinke and comes in hitting .500 with 2 doubles and 1 homerun. Look for Torres to come through in a big spot again tonight. I trust Tanaka and this Yankees bullpen tonight backed by this Yanks lineup (with or without Stanton) against Greinke who is struggling right now. Yankees even up the series 2-2 tonight. NFL: 8:20 EST Chiefs (-3) - The Chiefs have lost two games in a row (at home) but they will look to get back on track against the Broncos tonight. The Broncos have won two games in a row against a pathetic Titans team and a Chargers team who is not as good as people thought they were coming into the season. The Broncos defense ranks #7 in the league allowing just 17.7 points per game but look at the ranking of the offenses that they have played against - 19, 27, 14, 23, 22, & 28. Holding lower tier offenses to 17.7 points per game isn’t that impressive. I think the Broncos will struggle against the Chiefs offense who is ranked #5 in the league scoring 28.7 points per game. The one concern for the Chiefs is their run defense and they haven’t been able to stop a nose bleed as of late. Their run defense ranks #30 allowing 161.8 rushing yards per game. I think that’s the only way the Broncos can keep this game close but the Chiefs defense have to come into this game with adjustments to slow down the run tonight. The Chiefs have won in Denver the last two seasons although those wins came by 3 and 4 points. If the Chiefs can slow down the run just a little bit, I think they will win this game by two scores. Cross Sport Parlay: Chiefs ML / Stanford ML (+158) - JACKHAMMER - Juicy payout for these two teams that should both come out with wins tonight. The Chiefs will be on the road in Denver but they will give the Broncos defense their biggest challenge of the season since Denver has only faced one offense (Packers) in the top half of the league rankings. The Chiefs need to make adjustments to slow down the running game but if they can do that, I think they will win this game by two scores. Stanford will host UCLA and there’s not much excitement about either one of these teams this season who come in 3-3 and 1-5. I do like Stanford at home with them coming off of a 10 point win against #15 Washington and having a week off to prepare for this game. They also beat Oregon State 31-28 a few weeks ago and UCLA lost 48-31 against that same Oregon State team a week later. The UCLA defense has not been good against the pass or run this season. They come into tonight’s matchup allowing 340.7 passing yards per game and 162.7 rushing yards per game. Stanford should be able to do whatever they want against UCLA tonight and I think that will lead to another win for them. Stanford has won 11 straight against UCLA and they should make it 12 in a row tonight. JACKHAMMER!! NHL: 10:00 EST Predators (-125) - The Preds have won 3 of their last 5 games and there has been no shortage of offense in those games where they have scored 4 or more goals in 4 of those 5. They are coming off of their most impressive win of the season where they beat Vegas 5-2. The Coyotes have lost 3 of their last 5 games and offense has been tough to come by for them this season, they are averaging just 2.20 goals per game. I don’t think the Coyotes will be able to keep pace with the high powered Predators offense and -125 is great value for the Preds tonight.
