Well I hope you all jumped on a book that allowed you to take the moneyline parlay yesterday! That worked out for us and so did the player props. Slight winning day yesterday and I’ll take that over a losing day any day. It’s a step forward for us as we prepare ourselves for a HUGE weekend! Let’s see what we have for tonight!
NHL: 7:30 EST Sabres (-115) - We have bet on the Sabres 3 times this season and they have lost each of those games including last night. Is it a curse? Maybe. I’ll consider it a curse if they lose again tonight for the second night in a row against a team who has lost 5 games in a row. The Red Wings have lost 6 in a row and have been outscored 27-9 during that losing streak. The Red Wings have allowed their opponents to score 5 goals in 5 of those 6 games. The Sabres are 8-2-1 on the season and they are a much better team than they have showed in the 3 games we bet on them. Like I said, if they lost again tonight, we will add them to the do not bet list for a while but they should beat a 3-7 team who has lost 6 in a row. Great value at -115 as well. MLB: 8:07 EST Astros (-133) - JACKHAMMER - The unique situation has presented itself where the public’s view is that the Nationals can’t be stopped and the books are even offering them AT HOME for plus money at +125. Over 50% of the public are taking the bait on this but not US! And some of you out there have told me I better not be taking Houston again, but I am. Others have called me a homer for picking the Astros but I’m not an Astros fan, I just think they are the better team and I love the matchup tonight. They will take on Anibal Sanchez who the public is drooling over about his performance against the Cardinals where he took a no hitter into the 8th inning. That was a great performance, no doubt. BUT that was 14 days ago. 14 days is a long layoff for a guy who is in the routine of pitching in a game every 5 days. Springer, Altuve, and Brantley are hitting .347 against Sanchez and 2 of them have taken him deep before. The other factor that a lot of the public will fall for is that the Astros lose their DH so that hurts them even more but Greinke led pitchers with 3 homeruns and 8 extra base hits this season. Greinke has also already faced this Nationals team this season and pitched 7.1 scoreless innings where he only allowed 2 hits back on June 13. I am SMASHING the Astros moneyline tonight and I will not apologize for it. LET’S FUCKING GO! NBA: 10:00 EST Trailblazers (-2.5) - The Blazers opened up their season with a loss to the Nuggets in a tough battle with a 108-100 final score. The Kings also opened up their season with a loss but it was a 124-95 loss to the Suns who finished in last place of the Western Conference last season with 19 wins. The Blazers finished 3rd in the West last season and they will be a tougher challenge for the Kings tonight. The Kings better clean up their sloppy play or this one will turn into another blowouts. The Kings had 27 turnovers in their season opener and that led to 35 points for the Suns. The Kings also seem to have given up on the game in the second half when they were outscored 70-36. CJ McCollum struggled in the opener for the Blazers but I would expect him to be better tonight. Lillard was great in the opener dropping 32 so look for him to fill it up again tonight against a Kings team who didn’t play much defense in their opener. The Blazers should cover for us tonight.
