10/27 VIP Picks

Penn State, Astros, & the parlay were all good yesterday. We missed the early over by 4 points and multiple teasers by a few points. A couple let down performances by those teams who just barely won. Let’s see what we have for our NFL Sunday!

Straight Plays:

1:00 EST

Colts (-5.5) - The Colts have proven to be one of the best teams in the AFC after back to back wins against the Chiefs and Texans. That same Chiefs team just beat the Broncos 30-6 with their backup QB last week. The Broncos come into this one just 2-5. The Colts have been successful due to their balanced offensive attack averaging 231 passing yards and 128 rushing yards per game. The Colts covered -5.5 in their last two games against better teams than the Broncos, I like them to cover at home today.

1:00 EST

Seahawks (-8) - The Seahawks will be playing that dreaded east cost 1 o’clock game today but it will be against a 1-6 Falcons team who will be without their starting QB and just traded their #2 receiver. Things were not pretty for the Falcons last week when they lost 37-10 against the Rams. The Seahawks beat the Rams a few weeks ago. Russell Wilson should be able to get the offense going today against this Falcons defense that has allowed 31.9 points per game. I don’t think the Falcons will be able to keep up today and they are getting to the point of the season where they are trying to lose to secure a high draft pick next year. GIVE ME SEATTLE!

8:20 EST

Packers (-5.5) - The Chiefs are trying to stay afloat in the hunt for the AFC Title but it’s tough with their former MVP Pat Mahomes dealing with a knee injury. He will be out tonight. Matt Moore will get the start and he had a 36.0 QBR last week which is not good. The Packers come in looking good at 6-1 and let’s not forget their one loss came in a game they couldn’t score a touchdown from inside the 5 yard line, twice. Aaron Rodgers is coming off of a game where he had a perfect passer rating and threw for 429 yards and 5 touchdowns.  He will be the biggest challenge of the season for this Chiefs defense. I like the Packers to win this game by multiple scores tonight.

Teaser selections - play in groups of 2 to be most profitable.

Patriots (-4.5)

Rams (-6)

Saints (-6)

Jaguars (-0.5)

Texans (-0.5)

Moneyline Parlay:

Seahawks ML / Rams ML / Saints ML / Patriots ML (-104) - JACKHAMMER - This parlay pays just under even money for four teams that are all favored by 8 or more today and we just need them to win straight up for this parlay to hit. The Seahawks will be up against the 2nd worst defense in the league. The Rams have the 0-7 Bengals. The Saints are 6-1 and will be getting Drew Brees back. The Patriots are 7-0 and are home today against the Browns who have lost 3 of their last 5. 🔨

8:07 EST

Astros (Cole) (-150) - 👋🏻 here we are all tied up 2-2 and I still think the Astros are the better team in this series. Tonight we have s rematch of Game 1 with Gerrit Cole going up against Max Scherzer. Timely hitting was the difference in Game 1. The Nats had a few timely clutch hits that allowed them to hand Cole his first loss in 26 starts. The Astros on the other hand went 3-12 with runners in scoring position and ended up coming up one run short. I’m confident the Astros are feeling better about themselves after evening up the series and I think they will get to Scherzer tonight. Cole has still held this Nats lineup to a .237 avg in 131 at bats and the guy has only lost 1 time in his last 26 starts. We are taking Houston, AGAIN! LFG!

5:00 EST

Blues (-140) - The Blues will be playing a back to back and the puck will drop less than 24 hours from their game last night but they will be playing a Red Wings team who has lost 7 games in a row. I don’t think the defending champs will have any issues taking care of business against a STRUGGLING Red Wings team.
