12/12 VIP Picks

2-2 last night, 4-6 on the week but still chasing that jackhammer loss on Monday night. I was pretty upset with the Celtics getting outscored by 15 in the 4th quarter to lose by 5. I was actually shocked by that. I was also upset with the fact that the Bruins and Caps had 5 total goals with 15 minutes left to play but they couldn’t even get us one more for the push. There was also a Bruins goal overturned in the 1st period. The Clippers came through in a big way and the moneyline parlay came through for us even without Giannis. Thursday-Sunday is clutch time and it’s time to put together a clutch streak. Side note - for those of you who don’t follow on twitter, I announced last night that I am going to be a dad! The due date is set for June 10, 2020. I’ll tell you what, I’ve won some big bets in my life and those wins have taken me to very enjoyable highs, but yesterday morning when I saw the first ultrasound of my baby, that feeling can’t be matched by anything in the world. #Unreal. Now, I need to provide for my FAMILY and going 4-6 is not going to do that. Let’s turn this week around tonight and CRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUISE into the weekend. LFG. NHL: 7:30 EST Jets (-190) - JACKHAMMER - The Jets just beat the Red Wings 5-1 two nights ago and we were all over it. That was the 12th loss in a row for the Red Wings and there is no end in sight. They have been outscored by 23 goals in their last 6 games. These guys are a bunch of fucking chumps! It hasn’t mattered who is in net for them, they have allowed their opponents to score 5, 5, 4, 5, 6, & 6 over their last 6 games. The puck line pays +140 tonight for those of you who want a better payout but I don’t see how the Red Wings who were dominated by the same Jets team two nights ago could come back and win tonight. The moneyline is SMASHABLE!

7:00 EST Islanders / Panthers Under (6) - Here’s a trend for you, 10 out of the last 10 combined games for these two teams have gone under or pushed at 6 with the average total goals checking in at 4.9 goals per game. The two teams have already played twice this season and both of those games went under 6 with final scores of 3-2 and 2-1. Sergei Bobrovsky will be in net for the Panthers and he has allowed 2 goals or less in each of his last three starts. He also held the Islanders to 2 goals back on Nov 9. Thomas Greiss will be between the pipes for the Islanders and 10 of his 14 starts have gone under or pushed at 6 this season. I am really liking the under in this matchup based on the recent trends and the two head to head matchups these two have already played this season. NFL: 8:20 EST Jets / Ravens Over (44.5) - Jets moneyline, just kidding! I like the over in this game tonight though. The Ravens offense has been the best in the league scoring 33.1 points per game. They have had a few tests in recent weeks against the good defenses of the 49ers and Bills but I expect them to get back to scoring 30+ tonight against the Jets. Prior to their 2 most recent games against the 49ers and Bills, the Ravens scored 45 against the Rams, 41 against the Texans, 49 against the Bengals, 37 against the Patriots, and 30 against the Seahawks. I’m confident that they will put up 30+ tonight so that begs the question, can the Jets score 2 touchdowns against the Ravens defense. I think the answer is yes, the Ravens have allowed an average of 18.2 points per game. By no means has this Jets offense been good this season but they have still put up 17.4 points per game. It’s also nice seeing that the Ravens have covered 44.5 themselves three times this season. 1st Quarter Line: 8:20 EST Ravens (-4.5) - With the full game spread sitting at -17, I’m expecting the Ravens to take control of this game right from the start much like they have done all season. Looking back at some notable leads they have built by the end of the 1st quarter - 14 to the Rams, 14 to the Bengals, 10 to the Patriots, 7 to the Bengals, 4 to the Cardinals, & 21 to the Dolphins. On the flip side, if you look at the Jets two games against the Patriots (who I would consider the closest team to the Ravens in the AFC), they were down 17 and 13. The Ravens are much more explosive on offense with Lamar Jackson and I like them to cover this -4.5 in the 1st quarter tonight.
