Well what the fuck? An NHL underdog comes through which we have been seeing more often recently but how do the Heat get outplayed by the Grizzlies and then the tease misses by half a fucking point! Not a good start to the week. Missing by half a point always pisses me off a little bit more, especially when the refs took away a touchdown that looked to be a clean touchdown before half time. So much for a “high percentage” night last night. I’m feeling the pressure to put together a hot streak and you all know I usually come through in the clutch. Let’s get something going starting tonight and carry it through the end of the year. Let me hear it - “KOOOOOOOOOOOFSPORTS!!” NHL: 7:00 EST Bruins (-1.5) - This one starts with how bad the Kings have been on the road this season, they are 3-12 in road games played outside of the state of California. The Kings have allowed opponents to average 3.15 goals per game so look for the Bruins to score early and often tonight with their 4th ranked offense in the league. The Bruins also have the #1 goal differential in the league which is a good stat to see when you are taking the -1.5 puck line. The Bruins got a win on Saturday after a 5 game losing streak. The Bruins had a similar losing streak earlier this season and then they bounced back by winning 9 of their next 10 with the one loss coming in overtime to a very good Capitals team. The Bruins have covered the -1.5 puck line in 9 of their 12 home wins this season. Give me the B’s to cover the puck line at home tonight. Cross Sport Parlay: - Only take this if Anthony Davis IS playing - he is listed as questionable. 7:00 EST Bruins ML / Lakers ML (+118) - The double dip worked out for us last Friday with the Lakers and tonight we are double dipping on the Bruins. The Kings have gone 3-12 in road games outside of the state of California this season and they will be welcomed to the East Coast with some winter weather today. The Kings have allowed opponents to score 3.15 goals per game this season and the Bruins rank #1 in the league in goal differential. The Bruins have only lost 1 game in regulation at home this season and it’s December 17. I’ll take my chances on them getting this win for us against a bad Kings team tonight. Then we have the Lakers. We keep asking when this team will be tested, they continue to win games. They’ve been trailing in second halves of games and it’s like they flip a switch and go on a run to take the lead and close out the game. The spread is pointing to this one being a test for them tonight on the road against a Pacers team who has gone 7-3 in their last 10. However, the Pacers lost to that other team from L.A. 110-99 last week and this team from L.A. has the best record in the league. I think this game will be close but in the end, who on the Pacers is going to step up and stop LeBron and AD? Nobody. Lakers win. NBA: 8:00 EST Nets (-2.5) - This line seems like a sucker bet and the spread should be more than 2.5 but how can we not take this? The Pelicans have lost 12 games in a row and they have lost those games by an average of 12.8 points per game. The Nets have gone 10-5 with Kyrie Irving sitting out and they have gone 5-2 in road games during that same time frame. The Nets are coming off a 109-89 win over the Sixers who are currently sitting at 2nd place in the East. I’m confident that they can take care of business against the second worst team in the West tonight. BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOKLYNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
