12/25 VIP Picks

55 points in the first half and then 10 total points until 1:22 left in the game. A push would have been a true Christmas Miracle. On to Christmas Day with a full slate of NBA action!

12:00 EST

Celtics (-165) - Pascal Siakam is out for the Raptors and he has been their leading scorer in 18 of their 30 games this season. That includes the first matchup against the Celtics this season when he dropped 33 but it wasn’t enough and the Celtics ended up winning 112-106. Tatum, Brown, & Walker all went off for 20+ in the first meeting and a big 4th quarter helped the Celtics take the win. Toronto is 2-1 since Siakam got hurt but wins over the Wizards and then Mavs without their best player aren’t the most impressive wins. The Celtics are coming off back to back blowout wins and I think they will get the win today against the banged up Raptors.

2:30 EST

Bucks (-3) - This will be the first time this season that these two top Eastern Conference teams will square off but I’m taking the team that has won 21 of their last 22. The Bucks have been on some kind of run and they have looked unstoppable. They have shown they can beat anybody and they already have 3 wins vs the teams from L.A. who they will likely see one of them in the Finals. The Sixers have two very ugly losses in their last five games including a 20 point loss to the Nets and a 19 point loss to the Mavericks without their best player. The Bucks are too good and I’ll take them to stay hot today.

If you parlay Celts and Bucks moneylines it pays (+171). I would take each individually or the parlay, not both.

8:00 EST

Clippers (+2) - Let’s take the points in this one even though I think the Clippers will win this game. The Clippers already beat the Lakers 112-102 in the season opener and that was without Paul George. The Clippers are 11-3 with George and Kawhi both in the lineup together this season. The Lakers have been going through a tough stretch losing 3 games in a row for the first time this season. Their top players LeBron and Anthony Davis are both battling injuries and that doesn’t give them any help tonight when they try to snap their losing streak against a Clippers team who are obviously a better team with PG on the floor and he wasn’t out there on opening night. Let’s take the points and GO CLIPPERS!
