3-2 yesterday but really just a missed field goal away in the OK State game from going 4-1. We were in position for that win for sure. Celtics, Bruins, Blues, & Michigan State all come through for us. Now we have the biggest College Football games of the year and I can’t fucking wait. Is it 4 est yet? Lfg.

Penn State ML / Clippers ML (-133) - Memphis comes in 12-1 and Penn State comes in 10-2 but Pwnn State has played the tougher schedule. Penn State beat Iowa and Michigan while working their way up in the rankings. They also took Ohio State into the 4th quarter with a 21-17 score. Memphis played Cincinnati twice and SMU but they have not seen a defense like they will against Penn State today that has held opponents to 14.1 points per game. I’m looking for Penn State to get the offense going gainst this Memphis run defense that ranks 77 in the country. Once they get the ground game going, that will open up opportunities through the air for Sean Clifford. Memphis has really put on an offensive show all season but the best defense they played away from their home field was Temple and they lost that game. I think Penn State’s defense is more than capable of getting stops against this Memphis offense and that’ll be the difference in this game. Then we have the Clippers who just beat their cross town rival for the second time this season on Christmas Day. They won’t be on a back to back so expect both Kawhi and PG to be playing and they are 12-3 with those two in the lineup this season. Utah has won 7 of their last 10 and they actually beat the Clippers earlier this season but neither Kawhi or PG played in that game. They also got 29 from Mike Conley who is looking like he won’t be playing tonight due to injury. I’ll take this full strength Clippers team at home to get us the win tonight!

Notre Dame (-3) - buying the half point here even though I don’t think we will need it. Notre Dame looked like a legit competitor to make the CFB Playoff early on but a big loss to Michigan put that talk to rest. However, the numbers don’t lie and ND ranked in the Top 15 in scoring offense and scoring defense scoring 37.1 points per game and allowing 18.7 points per game. Iowa State comes in 7-5 but they lost to Iowa, Baylor, & Oklahoma by 4 points combined. That was then and this is now and Iowa State owns a 4-10 record in Bowl games. The ND offense is led by Senior QB Ian Book who threw 33 touchdown passes and just 6 interceptions. He had three games with 5 touchdown passes this season. His go to guy is another Senior, wide receiver Chase Claypool who is closing in on 1,000 yards and has visited pay dirt 12 times. The running game is led by another Senior, Tony Jones Jr. who has 722 rushing yards on the season. The Iowa State offense has had ups and downs this season but they haven’t been that impressive against good defenses. Notre Dame had that waxing by Michigan but then held 4 of their final 5 opponents to 3 touchdowns or less. Notre Dame has more skill, senior leadership, and momentum coming into this game. CFB PLAYOFF: 4:00 EST Teaser: LSU (-8) / Under (81.5) - Going with the teaser in this one. I shouldn’t feel funny about taking LSU -14 but I do for some reason. 10 of Oklahoma’s 13 games went under 81.5. 3 of LSU’s last 5 games have gone under 81.5. A big part of that is that their defense has really stepped up in recent weeks holding Georgia to 10 points in their last game and Texas A&M to 7 points in the game before that. LSU has climbed to #1 by running the table against a very tough schedule, they went 5-0 against Top 10 opponents this season. Oklahoma went 4-0 against Top 25 teams but seeing them barely beat Baylor twice and Texas has me skeptical of them in this game. Don’t forget that Oklahoma was down 28-3 at one point in their first game against Baylor. Mr. Heisman himself Joe Burrow runs this offense and he has thrown for 4,715 yards, 48 touchdowns, and just 6 interceptions. He completed 77.9 percent of his passes this year so you could call that a high percentage play. He didn’t put up these numbers against cupcakes either, he threw for 293 and 3 touchdowns against Florida, 321 yards and 2 touchdown against Auburn, 393 yards and 3 touchdowns against Alabama, and 349 yards and 4 touchdowns against Georgia. Those are some of the best defenses in College Football. He has plenty of weapons around him and this unit is capable of scoring on any given play. It has been announced that LSU’s top running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will play but no guarantee of how much. The other LSU runningbacks don’t have the stats but that’s because they don’t play much when Edwards-Helaire is healthy. Look for Burrow to attack through the air like he has all season long. Oklahoma is dealing with some injuries and suspensions that will hurt them today. Defensive end Ronnie Perkins is suspended and he leads the Sooners defense in sacks. They will also be without their starting safety Delarrin Turner-Yell who had the 2nd most tackles on this defensive unit. My thought with this teaser is that LSU could pull away in the second half as expected so under 81.5 will hit for us and -8 just feels better than -14. GUEEEXXXXX TIGERS!! 8:00 EST Ohio State (+2.5) - I think Ohio State is going to win this game straight up but I’ll take the +2.5 points as a little bit of protection if this game ends up being decided in overtime with Clemson going for 2 and winning by 2. +2.5 covers. Both of these teams come in undefeated and they have both looked unstoppable this season. The thing that sticks out in this matchup is that Clemson played two ranked opponents this season beating Texas A&M by 14 and Virginia by 45. Ohio State has a more impressive resume, they went 5-0 against ranked opponents and beat four Top 15 opponents by multiple scores. The most impressive performance by Ohio State was when they trailed 21-7 at half before scoring 27 unanswered points in the second half. The Ohio State offense has averaged more than 7 yards per play this season with a balanced attack. QB Justin Fields threw for 40 touchdowns and just 1 interception, he also ran for 10 touchdowns. He is a dual threat but he can also hand it off to J.K. Dobbins who has run for 1,829 yards and 20 touchdowns. The Clemson defense ranked #1 in College Football holding opponents to 10.5 points per game but Ohio State is right behind them at 12.5 points per game. Clemson got to play teams like Syracuse, Charlotte, Florida State, Louisville, Boston College, and Wofford. The Buckeyes had a few cupcakes on their schedule as well but they definitely played the tougher schedule. I realize that the core of this Clemson team is in tact from last year’s National Championship run but I think Ohio State playing a stronger schedule and tougher opponents in recent weeks has them prepared for this battle tonight. Capitals (+110) - If you’re giving me the best team in hockey at plus money, I’m going to take it. Both of these teams are on the second night of back to backs and the Caps have been better going 5-1 in those games compared to the Hurricanes 3-3 mark. The Hurricanes are also going through a tough stretch right now losing 3 straight games 4-2, 8-6, & 5-3. The Caps bounced back from an ugly loss with an overtime win last night against a Blue Jackets team who has had their number. Let’s take the Caps at plus money tonight.
