3-1 is the start to the year we were looking for! Nuggets go over 103 by 20 points, Lightning win their 5th straight, and the Jazz defense comes through in the final seconds to hold the 4 point lead to cover by 1/2 a point! That’s the kind of momentum we need going into Wild Card weekend! Let’s build on it tonight!
NBA: 7:00 EST Heat (-120) - The Heat already had their mysteriously fixed game of the week this week and it was on Monday when they some how lost to the Wizards without Bradley Beal. They bounced back with a win on Wednesday night against the Raptors in a game that was a low scoring affair. The Magic have lost 2 out of their last 3 and have gone just 4-8 over their last 12 games. The Heat have been a better team all season and they have won 6 of their last 7. The Heat are on a back to back which they have struggled with this season but I still think they over match this Magic team and I’m taking the Heat to win this game tonight. 8:05 EST Rockets (-4) - The Rockets are coming off of an impressive win on Tuesday when they beat the Nuggets by 26. They have now won 6 of their last 8 games and seem to be a team bettors can trust again. The Sixers have been going through a tough stretch and looking back over their last 9 games, you can only say that they beat one good team over that stretch, they lost 6 of those 9 games straight up. The Sixers have lost the first three games of their current road trip and the final game of a road trip always creates the potential let down game. I’ll take the Rockets who are on the way back up and are averaging 119 points per game this season compared to the Sixers 109. 7:00 EST Parlay Celtics ML / Stars ML / Lakers ML (-128) - Here we are again with a big moneyline parlay on a Friday night that pays just under even money. They Celtics will host the Hawks who have gone 1-9 over their last 10 games. Atl will get Trae Young back but don’t expect him to make a difference against this Celtics team that is simply much better than the Hawks. Celts are favored by 10.5 and we just need them to win this game straight up. Then we have the Stars coming off of their win in the Winter Classic where they got down 2-0 before pouring on 4 straight goals to come away with the victory. They will host the Red Wings tonight who have gone 3-17 over their last 20. I’ll take our chances of the Stars getting the win tonight. Closing it out, we have the Lake Show on ESPN on a Friday night and they should have both LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing tonight which has led them to the second best record in the league this season. The Pelicans have been playing better recently but the Lakers are a 10 point favorite for a reason in this game, they are the better team. Take all moneylines in this parlay and no spreads and it looks like a play that can’t lose tonight. LFG. - If you’re sportsbook or bookie doesn’t give you the moenylines, check with me because I can get you a book that actually offers them.
