Celtics couldn’t put the ball in the ocean against one of the worst defensive teams in the league and the Spurs dominate the Bucks. Jazz win but miss the cover by a basket. 🙄. Not the way to start the week but look at those matchups and how those games played out. On to Tuesday.

7:00 EST

Capitals (-1.5) - The Caps are still at the top of the league standings with the best record in the league. They will host a Senators team tonight that has lost 4 games in a row and they have allowed their opponents to score 5+ goals in each of their last 3 games. The Caps and their 3.53 goals per game offense shouldn’t have any problem putting the puck in the net tonight. The Senators have been outscored by 8 goals in their last 3 games and I think the Caps will build on that trend tonight.

7:00 EST

Islanders (-125) - The Islanders are coming off of a 1-0 win last night to the Avalanche who just beat the Devils 5-2 on Saturday. The Islanders also beat the Devils when they faced off last Thursday. Both teams have won 3 of their last 5 but I like the way last weeks head to head match went and the common opponent since then. The Islanders are also 19 points ahead of the Devils in the standings. Give me the Islanders to get another win over the Devils tonight.

7:30 EST

Avalanche (-150) - The Avs will play their second game in New York in the last two days. They took a 1-0 loss to the Islanders last night. However, they scored 5 and 7 goals in the 2 games before that and won by 3 and 4 goals. They should get their offense back tonight against the Rangers who have allowed opponents to score an average of 3.32 goals per game this season. The Rangers have lost 3 games in a row and they allowed 7 goals in one of those games. I’ll take the Avs tonight!

7:00 EST

Miami / Louisville Over (143.5) - These two teams opened up the season against each other and Louisville won 87-74 for a total of 161 points. They are both averaging right around 75 points per game this season which would put us around 150 total tonight. Miami is coming off of their last game when they allowed 95 points to Duke.   Louisville will be looking to bounce back from 2 straight losses where they allowed 78 points in both of those games. I wouldn’t touch the 13.5 Spread in this game but I do think it will go over 143.5.
