3/11 VIP Picks

The cold streak continues but some of the shit that has been happening to us really just makes you shake your head. It’s not like the trends aren’t there but we have really just had terrible luck over the last week. I’m not too worried about turning things around but it needs to happen now and it’s tough to deal with a week of losing when you are so used to winning. I do appreciate the support and loyalty from you guys and I can promise you that I’m doing everything possible to put us in position to profit every night. We will turn this thing around, we always do! KOFSPORTS!!

Miami / Clemson Over (131.5) - What’s that saying? You can’t win all day if you don’t start winning early. I think the real saying has to do with drinking but we need to win more right now than we need to drink. We start the day early with a noon tip off for the ACC Tournament with two teams that are capable of filling it up. The O/U is set at 131.5 so we need 66 a side to go over. Looking at the season averages, Clemson has averaged 66.4 ppg and Miami has averaged 71.4 ppg. These two went over in the first matchup this season with a final score of 73-68. Some high scoring games to note for Miami this season - 87-71 vs Notre Dame, 99-81 vs Florida State, & 94-71 vs North Carolina. Some notable high scoring games for Clemson this season - 79-72 vs Duke and 79-76 vs North Carolina. There should be some excitement for the early game and I’m expecting both teams to be in the 70s to get our day started with a win.

Don't blame me for the pathetic showing of 3 point shooting ^^^^^^^

Team Total

Pistons Over (100.5) - The Sixers will be without Joel Embiid again tonight and they have allowed 100+ points in each of the 5 games that he has missed with a sprained shoulder. That includes giving up 136 & 120 in 2 of those 5 games. Obviously the Pistons aren’t your premier offensive team but they are still averaging 107.3 points per game this season. The Pistons have scored 100+ points in 20 of their last 25 games. The Pistons scored 109 and 111 points against the Sixers this season. I think the Pistons will go over 100 tonight.

Pelicans (-120) - Believe it or not, this is our first bet on Zion. The Pelicans and Kings will square off tonight battling for the playoff push. Both of them are just 3.5 games out of the 8 seed in the Western Conference. At first glance, the Pelicans have the clear offensive advantage and they are averaging 7 more points per game this season but the Kings have been better defensively holding opponents to 7 less points per game this season. I like the way the Pelicans have been playing lately even though they have lost some close games. They recently played the Lakers tough until the 4th quarter and they lost an overtime battle with the Mavs. The Pelicans are also coming into tonight on a two game winning streak with an impressive win over the Heat. The Kings have more recent wins but their last 5 have come against teams with losing records. The Pelicans have shown more recently against better teams and I’m riding with them on the moneyline tonight.

9:00 EST

Jets / Oilers Under (6) - These two teams have already played each other twice this season and both meetings have gone under 6 with final scores of 3-2 and 1-0 (in a shootout). 8 of the last 10 combined games have gone under or pushed at 6. I’m liking the under in this matchup tonight.

9:00 EST

TCU (-2) - It baffles me that there are teams like Kansas State playing in conference tourneys with records like 10-21. TCU went 2-0 against Kansas State this season and beat them by 11 in the most recent meeting. TCU had a great win against #2 Baylor two weeks ago and Baylor just beat Kansas State by a million. TCU is the better team in this matchup and they should cover the -2 for us tonight.
