Fantasy Football WR Rankings Week 2
Next up in our Fantasy Football WR rankings for Week 2. Let's take a look at the guys we project to be the Top 5 WR for Week 2 plus take a look at one guy who we expect to be a solid fantasy football sleeper pick for Week 2.
Fantasy Football Rankings WR Week 2
Davante Adams - Davante finished 3rd in WR Fantasy Points for Week 1 with 30.1 and he had himself a great game with his former College roommate Derek Carr despite the fact that they lost the game. The outcomes don’t matter in Fantasy just the points for the players on your team. Davante had 10 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. Up next for him in Week 2 is another massive game. The Raiders will face the Cardinals who allowed 360 passing yards and 44 points to the Chiefs last week. Look for Davante to have a field day.
Justin Jefferson - Yeah, this guy is unstoppable. What a game he had to lead all fantasy WR in Week 1 with 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s going up against the Eagles this week and they gave up a lot of yards on the ground so we have Jefferson’s teammate Dalvin Cook pinned for a BIG game this week as well but there should be a lot of points scored in this game so there’s enough fantasy points to go around for both of these guys. Jefferson has gone over 100 yards in 3 of his last 4 regular season gomes plus he scored 3 times during that stretch. Vikings fans have high hopes and for good reason, look for another big performance from Jefferson this week.
Stefon Diggs - The Bills were the most impressive team in Week 1 with their big win over the defending Super Bowl Champs. Stefon Diggs finished WR #6 in Week 1 and it feels like he could have had even more points if the Bills didn’t turn the ball over 3 times. He’s going up against a Titans defense on Monday Night Football this week and the Titans were at the bottom of the league for pass defense last season. I’m expecting Josh Allen to pick them apart and Diggs should be stacking the fantasy points this week.
Jerry Jeudy - Some people will give me shit for including Jeudy on the Top 5 list this week but I am fully expecting to see a lot more from this Broncos offense in Week 2. Russell Wilson and Jeudy connected on a 67 yard touchdown in Week 1 but the offense struggled in the Red Zone. Jeudy finished with 104 yards on 4 catches and was WR #12 in Week 1. The Broncos will host the Texans in Week 2 and Houston allowed 340 passing yards last week. They also allowed 4 WR to come up with catches 20+ yards. I see big play potential written all over this game for Jeudy this week and could see him finishing Top 5.
Michael Pittman Jr. - I know I talked about not believing in this guy pre season but I’ll admit, I was wrong after seeing his production in Week 1. He finished WR # 5 and just because his team gagged in overtime doesn’t mean he doesn’t hold good fantasy value going into Week 2. The Colts will play the Jaguars this week who gave up 305 passing yards last week so look for the Colts to take advantage of that even though they have Jonathan Taylor. I know, it’s another set of guys on our Top 5 lists on the same offense but look where they finished last week #5 and #2 in their respective positions. I think the Colts will come out desperate to get an early lead after what happened to them last week and that should set Pittman Jr. up nicely.
Fantasy Football Sleeper Pick Week 2
Kendrick Bourne - He is projected outside of the Top 50 this week and that has a lot to do with all the talk about his rift with the Patriots coaching staff. However, reports say that Robert Kraft had a conversation with the coaching staff about including Bourne more in the gameplan. Bourne had 1 catch on 1 target for 41 yards last week. Mac Jones and Bourne connected for 20+ yard plays in 7 games last season so they have shown that they can make big plays together. The Steelers defense wasn't great against the pass as the game went on last week and allowed 299 passing yards. They will also be without TJ Watt pressuring the QB. This one depends on the health status of Mac Jones who had back spasms last week. Obviously if he isn't playing, Bourne isn't worth taking a chance on.
