Not a good start to the week for us and some really shocking results across the board. The Phillies got smacked, the 49ers lost their second game in a row, and Cristian Javier didn’t get out of the first inning. Trea Turner had just his second hitless game of the playoffs to cost us our hit parlay. The good news is that it’s only Tuesday so we have time to turn the week around. We have another Game 7 tonight, NBA Opening Night, and a full slate of NHL which has been a hot start for us so let’s see what we can put together tonight.
MLB:
8:07 EST
Phillies (Suarez) (-175) - JACKHAMMER
Brandon Pfaadt has turned in back to back phenomenal starts but I still don’t trust the 25 year old in this spot on the road in a Game 7 to go to the World Series
Pfaadt struggled on the road going 1-4 this season as part of his overall 3-9 record. Even in his one road start in the playoffs he gave up 3 runs in 2.2 innings.
This environment in Philly is going to be something he’s never experienced before and who knows how he will respond.
I expect the Phillies bats to come alive like we have seen all throughout the postseason averaging 5.7 runs per game at home.
Ranger Suarez will pitch for the Phillies and he has a 0.64 ERA in 14 innings pitched during this playoff run. He threw 5.1 scoreless innings against the DBacks his last time out.
NBA:
7:30 EST
Player Prop
Jamal Murray Three Pointers Made Over (2.5)
I mean why wouldn’t we pick up this season with one of the most profitable player props from last season!?
Jamal went over 2.5 threes made in 3 of the 4 games against the Lakers in the playoffs with 4, 6, & 5. He took 37 three attempts in 4 games in that series.
He was also cooking at home down the stretch going over 2.5 threes made in 11 of his final 12 home games in the regular season.
He should be firing away for the home Opener on TNT.

Klay Thompson Points Over (19.5)
It’s the Splash Bros offense again, Jordan Poole is gone after being traded for Chris Paul who will be the guy setting up Klay and Curry this season. Poole averaged 20 ppg last season so it’ll be interesting to see who fills that scoring in but I have a hunch that Klay and Steph will see their numbers go up this season.
Klay went for 19 or more in all 3 full games played against the Suns last season with 19, 29, & 38 in his most recent game against them.
The Suns actually had the Warriors number last season winning 3 of 4 and they were all high scoring games so I like tonight to follow suit which makes me like Klay going for 20+ even more.
NHL:
8:00 EST
Avalanche (-140)
The Avs come in 5-0 on the season and they will be on the road facing the Islanders who are 2-1-1 and have lost back to back games.
The Islanders will have Sorokin in net who is 2-0-1 with a solid 2.32 GA/G but he’s 0-2 vs the Avs in his young career.
The Avs have been putting the puck in net and come in averaging 4 goals per game this season which ranks for 5th in the league
Alexander Georgiev is the likely goalie for the Avs and he’s started all 5 games while posting a 1.58 GA/G which ranks 4th best in the league.
The Islanders offense has been sluggish being held to 1 goal two times in their last three games overall.
Let’s back the Avs.
9:00 EST
1st Period Goals
Oilers / Wild Over (1.5)
The Oilers have gone over in the 1st period in 4 of their 5 games to start the season
The Wild have gone over 1.5 in the 1st in 3 of their last 4 and they covered the full game line in the 1st period with 6 goals 2 games ago.
Filip Gustavsson will be in net for MIN & he’s coming in with a 3.93 GA/G and he’s allowed 4 1st period goals in his last 2 games combined.
Jack Campbell is the likely starter for EDM & he comes in with a 3.66 GA/G
I’m expecting the offense to be on display early in this game with goaltenders who have been struggling.
