3-1 winning night to get back up on the week! It should have been a 4-0 night but the fucking Bucks found a way to blow a 117-108 lead in the final 5 minutes….joke. Maybe the Bucks just aren’t all they are cracked up to be. Thursday Night Football stayed hot with Bryce Young covering in the first 5 minutes and Foreman covering his yards by the end of the 3rd quarter. The Canucks also jumped out to a fast start scoring 2 goals on their first 3 shots en route to a 5-2 win - that improves NHL to 65% on the season…love to see it! On to the weekend!
Posting this one early because I can't believe the line is where it's at. More plays coming by 5 pm est.
Jaylan Knighton (SMU) Rushing Yards Over (61.5)
Knighton has only gone over this number 4 times this season but it’s ALL ABOUT THE MATCHUP against this North Texas NOT SO MEAN GREEN run defense!
North Texas ranks DEAD LAST in College Football against the run allowing 271.3 rushing yards per game. That’s almost 3 full football fields of just rushing yards per game this season.
Knighton has averaged 5 yards per carry this season so it would take about 13 carries for him to cover the number if his average holds true. OR he could just break a long one and take it to the house and cover this prop in 1 or 2 big plays. His longest rush of the season is for 95 yards so it’s doable, especially vs North Texas.
North Texas has allowed 14 guys to run for 62+ yards in their 9 games.
Leading rushers have had 188, 101, 152, 140, 137, 113, 121, 169, & 129.
SMU’s starting QB is questionable for this game so if he doesn’t play I like this play even more but I’m not waiting to lock this one in. SMU has ran the ball 53% of their plays this season anyway and it’ll probably be higher than that vs the worst run defense on the fucking planet tonight.
The line seems OFF.
Sixers ML / Celtics ML / Golden Knights ML (-143) - JACKHAMMER 3 UNIT 🔨
The Sixers are rolling at 6-1 and they are going up against the 2-7 Pistons who will have no answer for Joel Embiid who leads the league in scoring at 31.7. The Pistons are also going to be missing 2 of their top 5 scorers.
The Celtics will be home against the banged up Nets who will be without their leading scorer Cam Thomas 26.9 ppg as well as big guys Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton. Ben Simmons is also a game time decision. The Celtics have lost back to back games so look for a massive bounce back game at home against a short handed Nets team who they beat by 10 last Sat.
The 11-2-1 Golden Knights will host the 2-10-1 Sharks and they are one of the largest NHL favorites in recent memory. These two played in San Jose a month ago and the Golden Knights won 4-1. This game will be in Vegas tonight where the Golden Knights are 7-1-1 and the Sharks are 0-5 on the road and they’ve been outscored 20-3 in those road games. Kaapo Kahkonen is the confirmed starter for the Sharks and he allowed 6 goals in 28 minutes his last time out. He’s 0-4 with a 4.30 GA/G which is 55th in the league. The Golden Knights should put it on him in Vegas tonight.
Arizona Over (74.5)
We have ourselves a huge early season matchup between #12 Arizona and #2 Duke
Arizona dropped 122 points in their first game and even though that was against Morgan State, it goes to show the fire power this team is going to have.
8 players scored double digits for Arizona in their first game so they aren’t relying on one guy to carry the load
There are some freshman coming in who might have early nerves playing in such a big game AT Duke but one guy who won’t be shook is transfer Caleb Love who came from UNC & has experience putting up big numbers vs Duke over the last few years
Duke scored 92 in their season opener and those numbers will likely come down tonight but I still like this game to be in the mid 70s to 80s
We also hit on back to back to back Arizona team totals to start last season so we have good vibes from that too
If you can't get the Team Total I'd tease Arizona spread to +9 with the over 150.5 (ask me how to if you don't know)
