VIP Picks 8/10
1-2 night so we fall to 4-2 on the week and 16-6 run. The Blue Jays took the lead into a rain delay but then gave up 3 runs in the 7th and 8th inning to blow it. The Cardinals were in trouble right from the start so no excuse on that one. On to Wednesday, let’s keep building on what’s been a very strong August.

Rays / Brewers No Runs In The First (-142) - Jeffrey Springs will pitch for Tampa and he’s riding an 11-2 NO runs in the first streak. This Brewers lineup is just 1 for 9 against him in their career so there’s not a lot of history against him. Brandon Woodruff will pitch for the Brewers and he’s coming in on a 14-1 NO runs in the first streak including a start against this Rays lineup earlier this season. The Rays went 1, 2, 3 in the first inning against him with 2 strikeouts and a ground out to short stop. Routine inning for him. Both teams have gone NO runs in the first in 3 of their last 5 games.

Player Prop Parlay
Aaron Judge O (0.5) Hits / Jose Ramirez O (0.5) Hits (+126) - Plus 126 for this one? GREAT. VALUE. Aaron Judge will face Robbie Ray who he is 3 for 7 against with 3 homeruns in his career. Ray has struggled in 2 of his last 3 starts allowing 15 hits and 10 runs in those 2 starts which both came against a potent Houston lineup. Judge has 3 hits through the first 2 games of this series against the Mariners and he’s hit safely in 9 of his last 11 games. Jose Ramirez has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games and comes into tonight riding a 4 games hitting streak. He’s going to take on Tigers starting pitcher Drew Hutchinson who he comes in hitting .455 with a .909 slugging percentage. Hutchinson is 1-5 this season with a 1.44 Walks/Hits per innings pitched. He’s allowed 5+ hits in 5 of his last 6 starts.

Blue Jays (Berrios) (-155) - I’ve noticed a trend over the last couple weeks that when a team burns us, I decide to go back to them the next night. I put the gag job they had in the past and we are focusing on the matchup for tonight. It’s a good matchup for them. Jose Berrios got toasted his last time out but he has really good history against the Orioles. He’s held them to a .188 avg in 70 career at bats. He also beat them in his only meeting with them this season. The Jays will face Dean Kremer who they haven’t faced this season BUT they had a stretch where they scored 11 runs in 4.1 innings against him in 2 starts last season. Kremer’s control has been better this season but this Jays lineup is going to be swinging confidently tonight. We can’t ignore that success they’ve had against him.
7:10 EST
Marlins / Phillies No Runs In The First (-146) - Sandy Alcantara and Noah Syndergaard will pitch in this one and it looks like a prime spot for a no runs in the first bet. Alcantara is on a 13-1 NO runs allowed in the first streak. He’s gone NO runs in the first in each of his last 2 starts against the Phillies. Syndergaard has allowed some first inning runs in multiple starts recently but he did shut this Marlins lineup down a month ago when he was still on the Angels. He has good numbers against the Marlins lineup and he’s held their 1-5 hitters to a .250 avg. and he has a 28% strikeout rate against them. Let’s ride with this no runs in the first tonight.
