1-2 day for us after the Cardinals allowed the Rockies to explode for 6 runs in the 8th and the Reds just never really wanted it. We are back in action with a full slate tonight so let’s put together a winning night and winning weekend!
Padres ML / Dodgers ML (-109) JACKHAMMER - Let’s break out the hammer tonight since it’s Friday and we are 4-1 in our last 5 Friday Night JACKHAMMERS. Plus we have two really nice looking matchups on the table. The Padres lineup has scored 20 runs in their last 2 games and they should stay hot against the Nationals pitcher Corey Abbott and his 5.68 ERA. It’s a little homecoming for Juan Soto even though it hasn’t been long since he was traded from Washington. Mike Clevinger will pitch for SD and he’s been good in 3 out of his last 4 starts. Nats have lost 8 of their last 10. Then we have the Dodgers going on the road to Kansas City and LA is 17-3 in the second half of the season. They also went on a 15-2 run at the end of the first half so they are riding a 32-5 run overall. Tony Gonsolin will pitch and he’s 13-1 on the season and 5-0 on the road. Love that stat for him and for us tonight. Daniel Lynch will pitch for KC and he has a 5.79 ERA at home this season. Sounds like a guy that the Dodgers won’t have any problem knocking around tonight since they knock everyone around. Great value for both of these matchups, let’s cash it for 3 units.
Mariners (Kirby) (-162) - George Kirby will pitch for the Mariners tonight and he’s been really good against the Rangers this season holding them to 2 runs in 12 innings pitched. Kirby has been pitching pretty good against everyone over the last month and he has a 2.07 earned run average since the beginning of July. It looks like Josh Sborz will start for the Rangers. He’s primarily been a reliever this season and this will be his first start. I don’t think he will pitch more than 2 to 3 innings but we will see. The trend I like is that the Rangers have lost 11 of the 13 games that he has pitched in this season. Seattle has won 3 of their last 4 and they just took 2 out of 3 against the Yankees so they are feeling pretty good coming into tonight. The Rangers have lost 3 out of their last 4. Let’s go Mariners!

Mookie Betts O (0.5) Hits / Christian Walker O (0.5) Hits (-136) - It’s rare for us to take a guy without any head to head history against the opposing starting pitcher but Mookie is a worthy exception to that with the way he’s been playing. The Mookster has hit safely in 21 of his last 25 games. He’s also facing a lefty starter who he’s hitting .327 against this season compared to .254 against righties. The stats are worthy for him to get a hit for us tonight. Then we have Christian Walker playing in Colorado where the ball just carries differently and more offense is generated due to the environment. He comes in on a 6 game hitting streak and he has 9 hits during that stretch. He’s facing Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela who he is hitting .520 against in a huge sample size of 25 at bats. I really like this one tonight.
Diamondbacks (Davies) (+106) - I’m surprised the Diamondbacks are underdogs in this game tonight. They have tremendous numbers from the top to the bottom of the lineup against Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela. They come in hitting .400 against him in over 100 career at bats. They have had some recent pound seshes against him scoring 3 runs in 2 innings and 6 runs in 0.2 innings at the end of last season. Zach Davies will pitch for Arizona and he just threw 5 scoreless innings against this Rockies lineup 5 days ago on Sunday. He also threw 6.1 scoreless innings against them earlier this season on 5/7. He’s held them to a .190 avg in 138 career at bats.I like the DBacks as slight dogs tonight in this good matchup. Feels like they should be more like -175 favorites.
