Hey, it wasn’t just Bama that lost for us yesterday so bad pick by me. That L offsets the big win from Monday but we are still up 1 unit going into today for a full College Football Playoff slate! Happy New Year! Let’s go 3-0!!
New Year’s Day

Texas / Arizona St Over (51.5) 🥉
Both offenses in this game could absolutely shatter this over at 51.5 it depends on how good the defenses are.
Texas allowed 24 to Clemson in their first playoff game.
ASU allowed 30+ to teams like UCF and Kansas and Texas is much better than both of them.
I do question Arizona State’s strength of schedule but I still expect them to be able to put up points even if it turns into a blowout which I think it might.
38-21 Texas? Or something like that.

Ohio State (-2.5) 🥈
Oregon won the regular season matchup between these two 32-31. Ohio State had 2 turnovers in that game.
Ohio St looked soft when they lost to Michigan but then they came back and absolutely dominated Tennessee in their first round playoff game.
Oregon hasn’t lost so that’s added pressure for them
Both offenses are capable of scoring 40+, the key in this game will be who can get stops (or A stop) down the stretch in this game. I’m putting my money on Ohio St to do that.

Georgia (-1) 🥇
Notre Dame gets their shot here and they are running into a Georgia defense that held #2 at the time Texas to 16 points in regulation in the SEC Championship.
Georgia is without their starting QB and that will spook a lot of people today but their defense and running game is still very strong. The backup QB was still the 7th ranked QB in his class and he has a 72.5% completion rate in limited time. He’s also had a few weeks to prep for this game knowing he’s getting the start vs getting thrown in mid game due to injury like the SEC Championship.
Georgia beat Texas, twice, Georgia went 6-2 against SEC competition. Notre Dame beat Army, Navy, and then Texas A&M back in August. Other than that, it’s been teams like Northern Illinois who they lost to, Purdue (maybe one of the worst teams in College Football history), Miami Ohio, Stanford, & Florida St (maybe another one of the worst teams in College Football history).
You never know what you’ll get when you put the two teams on the field to play each other and that will be fun over the years with some great matchups and upsets but I believe Georgia will run away with this game tonight.
