12:00 EST

North Carolina ML / Arizona ML / Celtics ML / Knicks ML (-112)

  • Massive favorites but -112 is great value

  • #7 UNC will host unranked Syracuse who is 0-2 against ranked teams and lost by 20 & 19

  • #8 Arizona will be on the road against Washington St who has played a weak schedule.

  • The Celtics will be home against the Rockets and will be looking to get back on track after Thursdays embarrassment. They are 18-0 at home.

  • The Knicks will face the Grizzlies who will be in the second night of a back to back and are without Ja Morant and Marcus Smart.

Browns (-2)

  • The Browns have gone 4-1 in their last 5 meaningful games with veteran Joe Flacco coming in. Flacco is huge for this team because he has had success in the playoffs and that experience is going to go a long way in this game. He’s 10-5 in his postseason career and 7-3 in his last 10.

  • The Browns beat the Texans 36-22 on Christmas Eve but CJ Stroud wasn’t playing in that game.

  • I still like the Browns in this game. They have the edge on offense with Joe Flacco at QB going up against CJ Stroud in his first ever playoff game.

  • The Browns also rank 1st in pass defense, 11th in run defense, & 13th in overall defense. The Texans are 23rd, 6th, & 11th in those same categories. And Houston allowed 36 to the Browns a few weeks ago in the game that Amari Cooper had 265 receiving yards.

  • People will overlook that this Browns team beat both the Ravens and 49ers in the regular season who are the top two favorites to win the Super Bowl.

  • Flacco’s experience, Browns better defense, and rookie QB for the Texans makes Cleveland -2 the play here.

4:30 EST

David Njoku Receiving Yards Over (54.5)

  • He went under against the Texans a few weeks ago with 44 but he’s gone over in 3 of his last 4.

  • He’s had 134, 104, & 91 in those games so I’m loving this one today.

  • The Texans defense has allowed the 5th most receiving yards to tight ends this season so this is a good matchup for him.

  • Plus the Texans will be putting their main focus on slowing down Cooper who set an NFL record on them a few weeks ago.

Isaiah Pacheco Rushing Yards Over (66.5)

  • I mean, -30 wind chill makes me think there will be less and less throwing as the game goes on. 20 degrees is cold as fuck but go down 50 more degrees and it’s brutal. These guys aren’t going to be able to feel their hands no matter how good of hand warmers they are promoting.

  • Hand the ball off and win up front. That’s what I expect as this game goes on.

  • So let’s go with Pacheco to go over 66.5.

  • The Dolphins have been solid against the run but still allowing just under 100 yards per game. Add in that those Miami boys being a little extra chilly and I give the edge to the Chiefs.

  • Pacheco went over 66.5 rushing yards in 2 of the 3 Chiefs playoff games last season
