Matsuyama is coming off of a win last week at The Sentry and he’s 2nd favorite to win this event this week.
Henley finished 30th last week and Matsuyama beat him by 18 strokes over the 4 day event and would have beat him by 5, 4, 6, & 3 strokes if they were in head to head matchups each day.
Different course but Matsuyama is coming in playing better after last week’s win.
Matsuyama won here a few years ago but the last 2 years haven’t been great. Henley has finished Top 5 here in 2 of the 3 years.
I’ll take Matsuyama over Henley in Round 1 which tees off at 5:30 EST

Notre Dame has done more to this point and beat a very legit Georgia team despite a back up QB. Penn State won vs SMU who threw 2 touchdowns to their defense and missed a wide open guy in the end zone to start the game, that was a 21 point swing. Then they beat Boise St.
Penn St lost to Oregon in the Big Ten Championship and Oregon got put on a fucking platter of roasted Duck in their playoff game vs Ohio St who Penn St also lost to earlier this season. Their Coach shrivels up against big dog opponents as well and here’s proof - 1-10 vs Ohio State, 3-7 vs Michigan, and 2-4 vs SEC teams, that’s 6-21 vs big dog opponents in his career. I don’t classify the first two playoff wins as big dog opponents and I look at them more as glorified bye weeks.Â
Xs and Os wise, I like Notre Dame’s defense ranking 6th in interceptions this season. That could really swing this game. Penn St QB Drew Allar threw 2 interceptions vs Oregon in the Big Ten Championship and one vs Ohio St. I’d almost guarantee at least one interception for him tonight if you can find those odds anywhere but the timing of it and where it happens could really shift the momentum in Notre Dame’s favor.

I can confirm that the Stars have not been good to us this season, they are 0-5 in games that we have bet on them. That’s crazy.
But I’m not holding it against them tonight, they are on a 5 game winning streak and have gone 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.
The Flyers are just 3-6-1 over their last 10
It’s backup goalie for the Stars but DeSmith has a 2.37 GA/A which is really not bad.
