New week and I’m surprised to wake up and not see that everyone cancelled their memberships. It’s a relief the week is over but the reality is that it sucks that it happened. Do I still feel that I can post picks and offer value? Yes. If we start having weeks like that all the time then I will hang it up again but I don’t want to make an emotional decision off of one horrific week because every gambler has had weeks like that before.
I do need to be better about avoiding the fixes so I’m being cautious staying away from the Bills tonight with 94% of the bets on them.
MLB:
5:05 EST
Blue Jays (-135) - The Blue Jays lost Game 1 last night late and will look to even up the series tonight. They have a good matchup against Mariners starter Logan Gilbert who they come in hitting .309 against with 4 career homeruns against. Gilbert could be a little thrown off after pitching every five days all season and then he had 2 innings of work in the marathon Game 5 Friday. Trey Yesavage will pitch for the Blue Jays and I don’t always love jumping on a pitcher without a lot of experience but he threw 5.1 scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts against the Yankees and Toronto hasn’t lost a game with him pitching. I expect the Blue Jays bats to come back to life tonight against Gilbert who they have good numbers against.
NFL:

Alt Line Parlay
Bijan Robinson 50+ Rush Yds / James Cook 50+ Rush Yds / Jacory Croskey-Merritt 50+ Rush Yds (+107) - Bijan has hit 50+ in 3 straight games with 75, 72, & 143 and he’s facing a Bills defense who has allowed 145 rushing yards per game. James Cook has hit 100+ rush yds in 3 of his last 4 and he should be able to get 50+ vs this middle of the pack Falcons run defense. Then Croskey-Merritt is coming off of a 111 yard game and will be facing the 2nd worst run defense in the league so he should get 50+ for us.
Cross Sport:

Parlay
Dodgers ML / Commanders ML (+129) - We’ve got a cross sport parlay here and going with Commanders for the NFL leg since they are home and less public money is on them. Dodgers are sending Blake Snell to the mound and he is locked the fuck in right now. He’s only allowed 3 earned runs in his last 32 innings pitched. He’s posted 18 strikeouts in his first 2 playoff starts. He’s also held this Brewers to 5 for 33 with a 42% K Rate! The Brewers haven’t announced a starter yet but I expect Quintana or Priester who are both solid options but the edge still goes to a locked in Blake Snell for Game 1. And Ohtani will be back to being himself in this series. The Commanders are home vs the Bears and the Commanders have a healthy Jayden Daniels back who is a winner, he’s 14-6 in the regular season in his career. He’s coming off of a dominating win against a solid Chargers team. The Bears are 2nd worst against the run so the Commanders should be able to run early and often and open up plays down the field even with McLaurin OUT and Deebo questionable. Commanders should get the win at home vs a 2-2 Bears team.
