Well we won our first NBA play but we suffered another NHL loser, we really need to get the NHL going in the right direction. It feels weird only betting NBA and NHL tonight but tis the season. Football back tomorrow and then World Series on Friday, you can take the Dodgers to win the series now if you want to hammer something.

NBA

7:00 EST

Player Prop

Lonzo Ball (Cle) Points Over (7.5) - Ball is going to slide in as the starting point guard for the Cavs while Darius Garland is out and I feel like we are getting a solid number at 7.5 for him. This is is first game with the Cavs but looking back to last season, he scored double digits in 4 of the final 6 games where he played 10+ minutes and he should hit that mark easily tonight. Another nice thing about it is that Jaylen Brunson should be guarding him who is a below average defender.

7:00 EST

Player Prop

Joel Embiid Rebounds Over (8.5) - With the loss of Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis, the Celtics are going to be lacking rebounders. Embiid is a 7 footer and he will be going against Boucher 6’8, Garza 6’10, and Queta who is a 7 footer but still working on his quickness. Embiid has a good matchup on the boards tonight and he has gone over 8.5 rebounds in 14 of his last 16 full games played against the Celtics.

NHL:

7:00 EST

Devils (-135) - The Devils come in on a 5 game winning streak and they will host the Wild who have lost 3 of their first 4 of their current road trip. The Devils are on a back to back but I still like them in this matchup tonight. Nico Daws is going to make his first start of the season but the 24 year old was great last year going 3-1 with a 1.60 goals against average. Gustavsson is in net for the Wild and he’s 2-3 and he’s given up 5, 3, & 6 goals in 3 of his last 4 starts so I think the Devils 3rd ranked offense should be able to score on him tonight.
