VIP Picks 10/26/24

Brutal Friday…nothing went our way.

CFB:

12:00 EST

Indiana (-5) 🥈

  • Wake up (Washington) this is a 9 am kickoff for them traveling to the EST time zone.

  • Indiana is rolling at 7-0 and coming off a 56-7 win over Nebraska.

  • IU’s starting QB is out but backup Tayven Jackson came in and went 8 for 9 for 91 yards and 2 TDs. Hes an athlete and was a 4 star recruit, Gatorade Player of the Year, & his brother is It’s not all on the QB though this IU team also features the 8th ranked defense.

  • Washington is a very different team than the one who played in the Natty last year after losing key pieces to the NFL. They are 0-2 on the road and were outscored by 27 in those games combined.

  • It seems like the books are over reacting to the Hoosiers starting QB being out.

3:30 EST

Illinois / Oregon Over (54.5) 5️⃣

  • If you take these teams scoring averages Oregon 36 & Illinois 27 you get 63 which is more than a touchdown higher than where this line is set.

  • Oregon defense has been good but they’ve allowed 30+ points to the 2 teams they have played where were/are ranked. They gave up plenty of passing and rushing yards in those games.

  • But I’m not trying to hide the fact that #1 Oregon will be doing most of the scoring for us! Illinois allowed 49 points to Purdue a couple weeks ago. The Ducks average 36 ppg and rank 103rd in Red Zone Scoring Efficiency…soooo they could very easily be averaging high 40s if they converted drives or limited turnovers.

3:30 EST

Big Moneyline Parlay

Alabama ML / Texas ML / Miami ML / Penn St ML (-106) 🥇

  • 2 home teams and 2 road teams but road teams are #5 and #3

  • Sketchiest game is Penn St with the line there but Wisconsin was smothered by both ranked teams they’ve faced including a 17 point loss to USC who Penn St just beat last week.

  • People are over reacting to Texas losing to Georgia last week and Vandys little magical run is getting snapped by the Longhorns.

NHL:

Rangers ML / Golden Knights ML (-145) 4️⃣

MLB:

8:08 EST

  • Carlos Rodon will pitch for the Yankees and he was worse on the road this season with a 4.69 ERA.
