Rough weekend for us to end what was a pretty good week. The good news is that MLB Playoffs stayed hot with another underdog and we are 8-1 on MLB Playoff straight plays now with 2 games coming up tonight. We also have Monday Night Football tonight. Let’s get right into the picks to start off the week.

Phillies Over (2.5) / Dodgers Over (2.5) (-105)
Both of these teams are going up against pretty good pitchers tonight but they have had success against them.
The Phillies will face Max Fried who they come in hitting .317 against in a huge samples size of over 200 at bats.
The Phillies have gone over 2.5 runs in 4 of their last 6 against Fried including last year’s playoffs when they scored 6 runs off of him in 3.1 innings
The Dodgers got slapped in the face in Game 1 with Kershaw putting the ball on a tee in the first inning.
They have an uphill battle against Zac Gallen tonight but they have gone 2-0 against him this season and they scored 11 runs in 10 innings against him. They also hit 4 homeruns off of him the last time they faced him on 8/28.
This is a creative play for tonight parlaying the alternate run totals to get pretty good odds at -105. This play is available on Fanduel Sportsbook.
If you can’t get the play above, I like the Dodgers to even their series up tonight so Dodgers moneyline. I respect Gallen but I’ve seen the Dodgers hit him hard twice this season plus they are down 0-1 so I expect a strong performance from them tonight.

Trea Turner / Mookie Betts (+103)
Trea Turner comes in hitting .400 (14-35) against Max Fried so he has a lot of history against him and he’s been good.
Turner has also been off to a hot start in the playoffs with 5 hits in 3 games.
Mookie has been the spark plug for the Dodgers lineup all season and they will need him more than ever tonight as the Dodgers look to even up the series.
Betts is 5 for 18 vs Gallen, not terrible but I usually like a little bit better head to head history against the starter for these hit parlays. But he’s been good against just about every pitcher in the DBacks bullpen so I feel good about Betts getting a hit even if it comes late in this one.

Josh Jacobs Rushing Yards Over (73.5)
Jacobs hasn’t gone over this number all season but he’s also faced much better run defenses than he will be up against tonight. The Packers rank 2nd worst in the league giving up 155 rushing yards per game.
Jacobs has been getting plenty of touches this season with 17+ carries in 3 of his 4 games. He would need to average 4.3 yards per carry to go over if he gets 17 carries tonight. Green Bay is allowing 4.5 yards per carry this season.
Jimmy G is coming back from an injury and DaVante Adams is dealing with a shoulder injury so it seems like a good game for Jacobs to get the bulk of the workload in the Raiders offense.
