VIP Picks 12/19/24

1-1 Wednesday but still 5-1 on the week going into tonight with Thursday Night Football! We are going with two player props tonight and limiting our action because that's been working well for us this week. We have a lot of action coming up with lots of football all weekend so let's get to 7-1 on the week with these two winners tonight!

Cortland Sutton Receptions Over (4.5) 🥈

  • Sutton has gone over 4.5 receptions in 6 of his last 7 games and that’s because he’s been heavily targeted by Broncos QB Bo Nix during that stretch. Here’s a look at his targets from most recent games over his last 7 - 9, 9, 10, 8, 9, 10, & 11. That kind of volume should continue in what should be a competitive game tonight which should lead to him going over 4.5 receptions for his 7th time over his last 8!

⚠️ This line has gone up to 5.5 this morning so a lot of you already got it at 4.5 but for those of you seeing 5.5 I’d suggest taking his over on 62.5 yards instead which he’s 6-1 in last 7.

Gus Edwards Rushing Yds Over (34.5) 🥇

  • The Chargers just placed JK Dobbins on injured reserve so Edwards is in line to take over the bulk of the workload in the Chargers backfield.

  • He’s gone over this line in 75% of the games where he’s received 10+ carries this season and he’s projected to get 10+ carries tonight.

  • Looking at what Dobbins did as the #1 so far this season, he’s gone over 34.5 10 of his 11 games including a 96 yard game against this Broncos defense in the first matchup.

  • Denver is 5th in the league in stopping the run but they are still giving up 98 rushing yards per game on average. I don’t see how Edwards doesn’t get atleast 35 rushing yards. Like I can’t see this game playing out where he doesn’t finish with at least 35. Close game - he goes over, Chargers have a lead in 2nd half - he goes over, Broncos blow out? I have a hard time seeing that happen but I still think he should cover this line. Line seems too low. Rookie Kimani Vidal is the other Chargers running back who will see time but Edwards should get the bulk with more experience.
