Thomas shot a 73 yesterday and the conditions were horrible and you can see it across the scoreboard for everybody.Â
It’s dry today but still wind between 10-15 mph. Still better conditions and I’m feeling like Thomas should be able to post a 72 or better.
Yesterday was just his 2nd round out of 17 rounds this season where he shot over 72. In other words, he’s been playing pretty fucking good and he has a 2nd and a 6th place finish in 2 of his last 3 tourneys. Let’s take him to go 72 or better today.Â
If you prefer a matchup play, I like Thomas over Finau who he beat by 3 strokes yesterday despite Finau having good history at this course.

#7 Oregon State comes into this season with a College World Series or bust mindset. They will take on Xavier in the opening series who they outscored 27-7 in a 3 game set last time they faced off in 2022. OSU returns 19 letter winners from a season ago. Nelson Keljo starts on the mound for OSU and he had 60 strikeouts in 43 innings pitched last season. Jake Hooker will pitch for Xavier and he got rocked against the one top tier lineup he faced as a freshman last season allowing 3 runs in 1.1 innings vs Clemson.
Left Kyle Johnson will start on the mound for Duke and he started his season by not allowing a run in 7 of his first 8 starts a season ago. He was the first two way Duke player to receive All American honors since Marcus Stroman last season. Left Kellen O’Connor starts for Cinci and he went 2-4 as a Junior last year.Â
Jamie Arnold will get the ball for Florida St and he went 11-3 with a 2.98 ERA a season ago. FSU comes in #9 to start the season and looks to return to the College World Series again after losing in the Semi Finals last year.
