2-0 Tuesday was ordered and delivered and we are now 6-2 over our last 3 days! We roll on today and I know there’s a huge slate of day action for MLB but I’m not touching any of it, I’m waiting until tonight with 1 MLB and Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
MLB:
7:05 EST
First 5 Innings
Rays / Red Sox Under 5.5
This could be a risky one with warm weather at Fenway and the fact that these teams have played some high scoring games this season but I’m banking on the starting pitchers showing up for both squads tonight. Starting with Walker Buehler for the Red Sox who has held this Rays lineup to a .158 avg in a small sample size and held them to 2 runs over 5 innings earlier this season. Zack Littell will start for the Rays and he’s held the Red Sox lineup to a .240 avg in 54 career at bats. He also shut this Sox lineup down earlier this season holding them to 1 run over 6 innings. First 5 under 5.5 tonight.
NBA:
1st Half Spread
Thunder (-2.5)
The series shifts to Indy but we have seen some big runs by the Thunder in the first two games and I don’t think it’s just the homecourt advantage, it’s the fact that they are the better team and they are playing on another level defensively which allows them to go on these runs. I think it was like 19-2 run last game. Anyways, looking specifically at the first half, the Thunder have been up BIG at half in both of the first 2 games - 57-45 and 59-41. The same thing happened in the most recent regular season matchup between these two with the Thunder up 61-49 at half. Indy will get off to a better start offensively tonight, it is pretty much impossible for them to be as bad as they were to start Game 1 and still kind of sloppy in Game 2. I won’t guarantee another double digit lead at half but after seeing the first 2 games in this series I’ll absolutely jump on Thunder 1H -2.5 about as quick as qiuicj as SGA would pull up from the foul line.
