VIP Picks 6/16/25

The first full week back fucking sucked, 4-10 is sickening and has me ready to just fucking hang it up again! Ugly week but I won’t quit just yet. The positive news is that we are 4-2 in the NBA Finals and we have Game 5 tonight so let’s see what we can do to build on that and get some MLB winners going, shocking to see the cold ass MLB start for us as that’s always been our best sport.

MLB:

Phillies (-115)

The Phillies have won 4 in a row and they are heading on the road to take on the Marlins tonight who they have gone 2-1 against this season. Sandy Alcantara will pitch for the Marlins and this Philly lineup bashed him for 6 runs in 2 innings last time they saw him. Pretty much everyone has been bashing Alcantara this season who is 3-10 with a 7.14 ERA. He used to have really good stuff so I’m not really sure how just about everyone is teeing off on him. The Phillies lineup has seen a lot of him and they are hitting .306 in 219 career at bats so I like the matchup. Mick Abel will pitch for the Phillies and he’s coming in with a 2.35 ERA through his first 3 starts. He should get run support tonight.

Pacers Over (107.5)

The spread is tempting but I look at Game 2 where OKC really ran away with it in OKC and I could see a similar outcome tonight. With that said, I like targeting the Pacers team total at 107.5 to take the over because they have scored 107+ in 3 of the 4 games in this series and just missed it in Game 4 when they weren’t getting any calls in the 4th quarter as Scott Foster and crew did their part to even the series up and that led to a 17 point 4th quarter for Indy. So 3 of 4 to the over in this series, 4-2 over last series, 4-1 to the over in the series before that, and 4-1 in the series before that. I expect the game to start with a fast pace like last game and I like the Pacers to go over 107.5 whether they win or lose tonight.
