Weak Tuesday….and weak start to the weak. Let’s flip the switch today.
MLB:
1:45 EST
Braves (Lopez) (-132) 🥉
Same play we were going to play last night is now Game 1 of a double header today due to the rain out yesterday but it’s the same matchup so we still like it.
The Braves will be going up against Kyle Gibson who they come in hitting .346 against in over 100 at bats so that’s a really good matchup for them despite Gibson coming off of a strong performance his last time out.
The Braves have Reynaldo Lopez on the mound and he’s a guy who I feel like is being overlooked this season. He had some rough years in Chicago but he’s out here with a 1.57 ERA this season and 1.06 ERA in his last 3 starts while going deep into games. The Cards don’t have much history against him so I like that for his advantage tonight as well.
2:10 EST
Parlay
Astros ML / Orioles ML (+128)🥈
The Astros are hot right now on a 6 game winning streak and 8-2 in their last 10!
They get to take on 1-6 Ryan Feltner and his 6.02 ERA today.
I don’t love betting on Spaghetti pitching for the Astros but he does have some solid starts and he should get plenty of run support today.
The Orioles are going to snap their 5 game losing streak tonight because they get to face 3-6 Carlos Carrasco and they will have Grayson Rodriguez pitching who is 8-2 with a 3.82 ERA this season.
7:10 EST
Yankees (Gil) (-130)
The Yanks let us down last night and it’s scary taking Gil after his last start where he got rocked but he’s still turned in such a good display of work this season. He still comes into tonight with a 9-2 record and a 2.77 ERA which shot up from 2.03 after his last start. Some days just ain’t your days and that was the case for him his last time out. I’d expect him to bounce back tonight.
Sean Manaea will pitch for the Mets and the Yankees come in hitting just under .300 against him. Aaron Judge has clobbered him hitting .417 with 2 HR and 6 RBI so we could see another ALL RISE dinger tonight. Manaea has a 6.75 ERA over the last month so I like the Yankees to score runs off of him tonight.
The offense wasn’t the issue for the Yankees last night, it was the pitching. I expect it to be better tonight.
