2-1 day and some of you ended up getting the cash on the Dodgers/Braves parlay from the night before at +123! I mean we’ve had some players benched taking away a few bets from us this week but we would be like 12-3 on the week so we are rocking and rolling going into the weekend!
MLB:
7:05 EST
Cubs (Hendricks) (-120)
The Cubs came through for us last night and they are now 7-0 in the season series against the Pirates so you’re damn right we are going right back to them tonight!
Kyle Hendricks will pitch for the Cubs who has struggled a bit this month but he is coming off of a really good start where he only allowed 1 run over 6.1 innings
The Cubbies should get Hendricks some good run support tonight vs Mitch Keller who they come in hitting .348 against in 46 at bats
Keller has been better in his last 2 starts but he’s still allowed 15 runs in 22 innings pitched this month
The Cubs have won 5 of their last 6 and the Pirates have lost 3 of their last 5
7:10 EST
Player Prop Hit Parlay
Mookie Betts Hit / Julio Rodriguez Hit (-152)
Mookie returns to Fenway for the first time in four years since being traded away from the Red Sox after playing the first 6 years of his career in Boston. Standing ovation followed by a lead off homerun is my prediction but let’s just take him to get a hit in this game.
Mookie is hitting .463 in August & has 11 hits in his last 4 games. He’s also hit safely 20 of his 21 games in August!
Julio is probably the only guy in the league who’s been hotter than Mookie and he’s coming in hitting safely in 9 straight games AND 26 of his last 30 games!
He’s going against Brady Singer who he is 0-3 against lifetime but I don’t care, we will be singing another victory tune with this one
8:10 EST
Rangers / Twins NO Runs in the 1st (-115)
Sonny Gray will pitch for the Twins and he’s gone NO runs in the 1st in 6 of his 7 starts since the All Star Break.
Gray has good numbers against the guys at the top of this Rangers lineup - Semien 3 for 12, Seager 1 for 6, Lowe 1 for 5, & Garver 0 for 1
Dane Dunning will start for the Rangers & he’s gone 7-4 NO runs in the 1st in his last 11. I usually like to see a higher percentage than that but he has good numbers against the guys who he has faced in this Twins lineup. The one worry would be Correa because he is 1 for 3 with a homerun against him in the past.
I still think NO runs in the first is the play here.
8:10 EST
Padres / Brewers Under (8)
At first glance, the Brewers bats have definitely been hot but I expect them to cool off tonight when they face Yu Darvish who has struggled in his recent starts but he did hold this Brewers lineup to 1 run in 7 innings pitched earlier this season on 4/16 in a game that finished 1-0
Darvish has held this Brewers lineup to a .185 avg lifetime in over 100 career at bats
Brandon Woodruff will pitch for the Brewers and it will only be his 6th start of the season but the trend to see here is that 4 of his 5 starts have gone under 8
Woodruff has shut down the guys in this Padres lineup in the past holding them to a .182 avg in 66 at bats
10:15 EST
Braves (Strider) (-154)
Logan Webb has been out here doing his THING over the last couple of months BUT this Braves team just got to him last Saturday when they scored 6 runs in 4 innings in a 6-5 win
I’m willing to ride the best offense in the league against Webb again tonight especially at -154 odds
Spencer Strider is pitching for the Braves and he only allowed 1 hit in 7 innings against the Giants last Friday
Not much else to say on this one other than I was pleasantly surprised to see -154 because I thought it would be closer to -200
