Both of these teams have lost 3 of their last 5 and have split the first two games of this series but I’m liking the matchup for the Rays today. They are going to face 2-7 Tyler Anderson who they come in with solid numbers against in the past.The Angels have lost 4 of the last 5 games that Anderson has pitched. Shane Baz has been struggling in 2 of his last 3 starts and the Rays have actually lost 6 straight with him on the mound but he pitched pretty good in 6 of those games. They also won 7 straight with him on the mound before this stretch. He held this Angels lineup to 2 runs over 7 innings earlier this season so I am confident in him tonight.

Albis is hitting .500 with 3 career homeruns against Jose Quintana plus he’s hit safely in 5 of his last 7 games. Arraez has hit safely in 17 of his last 18 games and he comes in hitting .833 against Anthony DeSclafani.

Padres (-139)

Nestor Cortes is pitching for the Padres and we haven’t seen him since April 3rd. He was recently traded to the Padres and was very happy in his first interview with the team saying how it feels good how everyone has welcomed him so his head is in a good spot. He also has good numbers vs this DBacks lineup holding them to a .211 avg. The only sketchy thing is that this is his first start in the bigs since 4/3 but he only allowed 2 earned runs in 18 innings in the Minor Leagues in his rehab. Anthony DeSclafani will pitch for the DBacks and the Padres come in hitting .294 against him. The Padres had 14 hits in last night’s game that they won 10-5 in extras so they should come out swinging again tonight.
