CFB:

Houston (-4.5) - Houston has blown out their first 2 opponents as expected while Colorado has gone 1-1. Houston has had success with the running game averaging 204 rushing ypg. Colorado couldn’t stop a fucking nose bleed in their first game against Georgia Tech when they allowed 320 RUSHING YARDS! I think that gives Houston full control of this game from the start. The Colorado offense wasn’t great in their first game and it’s hard to say how good Houston’s defense really is since they’ve played two weaker opponents. There’s also the fact that Colorado will be starting third string Sophomore QB Ryan Staub who is making his first start on the road. Let’s take the Cougars to cover tonight!

Kansas St / Arizona Over (54.5)

Arizona has scored 44 ppg through their first 2 cupcake opponents but the offense definitely comes into tonight’s game with good vibes. The Arizona defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown yet this season but again, it’s been against bad opponents. Looking back at last season, this Arizona defense gave up some points including 31 when they played this same Kansas St team, 41 against BYU, 56 against UCF, & 49 against Arizona St.  ARI has 7 of the 11 starters back from that unit last year. A year more developed but they still took some black eyes last year. Kansas St QB Avery Johnson ran for 110 yards on Arizona last year and I expect him to have success again tonight. KSU allowed 35 to North Dakota and 24 to both Army and Iowa St. KSU has under delivered to the hype around them coming in ranked Top 25 then barely winning as a 27.5 point favorite and losing as a 17.5 point favorite. It’s tough to tell where their motivation will be at but I think we could see this turn into a back and forth game offensively. Kansas St should be able to move the ball on the ground and Arizona will likely come out throwing as the one strength of this KSU team is their defensive front.  I could easily see us getting 30+ points from KSU and 24+ from Arizona. Fade the public and take the over.

Parlay

Padres ML / Dodgers ML (+119) - Plus money play here with the Padres and Dodgers West Coast parlay. The Padres are facing the Rockies and starting pitcher Tanner Gordon who they lit up like a Christmas tree 5 days ago and scored 6 runs in 3.2 innings with 3 homeruns. JP Sears will pitch for SD and he’s been up and down but he should be fine working with an expected early lead tonight. The Dodgers will face 3-10 Old Man Verlander tonight and the Dodgers lineup has seemed to waken up recently winning 4 in a row and scoring 9 & 7 over their last 2 games (vs a bad team but still). Yamamoto will pitch for the Dodgers and he’s held this SF lineup to a .220 avg and he threw 7 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts the last time he faced them.
