VIP Picks 9/27

Back to back to back winning days for us! We missed the Dodgers/Orioles parlay early because the Dodgers switched up pitchers but I tweeted out to go right back to Orioles / Dodgers for Game 2 of the double header and that hit to offset that early L. If you don’t follow me on twitter, go follow me on twitter. Then we cashed the Phillies and DBacks to finish off the winning day. On to Hump Day to make it 4 winning days in a row! We have a good week going so just going for 2 plays tonight to try and go 2-0 to go into Thursday and weekend sitting at 12 or 13 and 2 in our last 14 or 15 depending on which ones you played. LFG!

Parlay

Orioles ML / Dodgers ML (+111)

  • The Orioles are one day closer towards a Division Title and will still be playing for it tonight

  • They will face Patrick Corbin who comes in 10-14 on the season and who they come in hitting just under .300 against in a good sample size of 69 at bats

  • Grayson Rodriguez will take the mound for the O’s and he has a 1.40 ERA at home since August 1. No one on the Nats has ever faced him but I expect him to be good tonight.

  • The Dodgers offense went off in Game 2 last night and they should go off again tonight. They will face Rockies opener Noah Davis and the Rockies have lost 11-10, 25-1, and 11-4 in the last 3 games that he’s started at home. He sucks, he has a 20.57 ERA at home but then he turns it over to a Rockies bullpen that ranks last in the league with a 5.31 ERA. Dodgers should put up a big number again tonight and that should lead to a win.

9:38 EST

Rangers (Dunning) (-148)

  • The Rangers magic number is down to 3 with 5 games left to clinch the AL West. They know a win tonight vs the Angels is important because then they have a 4 game series with the Mariners who are also within reach of the Division

  • Dane Dunning will pitch for TEX and he’s held the Angels to 3 runs in 10 innings against them this season but this Angels lineup isn’t as good now as it was earlier in the season with Ohtani and Trout out. Those 3 runs were accounted for by Ohtani, Trout, and a wild pitch.

  • Griffin Canning will pitch for LA and the last time he faced TEX, he lost 12-0. Canning has lost 5 of his last 6.

  • The Rangers also pulled their starters early when they got down last night to rest up for tonight.
