Straight plays go 4-2 so not a bad day but it does feel like we left one out there and should have been 5-1 if South Carolina could have converted in the Red Zone or protect the QB. We will take it and we are on to Sunday. Big football game coming up between Florida State and LSU but we have some baseball action for the afternoon to start with.

Red Sox ML / Blue Jays ML (+108)
As a Red Sox fan, I don’t trust the Red Sox on a day to day basis but I was looking through all the games to parlay one with the Blue Jays and I truly feel like the Red Sox are the most likely win today.
Chris Sale will pitch for the Red Sox and only 2 Royals have ever faced him. He’s been good vs bad lineups since coming back from injury and he faces a Royals lineup that ranks 28th out of 30 in runs per game this season.
Taylor Clarke will open for the Royals but he hasn’t pitched more than 1 inning at a time all season so expect to see a lot of the KC bullpen that ranks 29th out of 30 in ERA. The Red Sox scored 9 runs yesterday so I think they will stay hot today.
Then we have the Blue Jays facing the Rockies who are 6-19 over their last 25 games
The Jays are fighting for a Wild Card spot so this is one of the must win type of games for them because it’s an easy opponent.
They will face 0-4 Chase Anderson and his 6.08 ERA who is making his first start in over a month due to a shoulder injury. Look for TOR to light him up.
Kevin Gausman will pitch for TOR & he ranks 10th in the league with his 3.30 ERA. I trust him to shut down the Rockies lineup while getting plenty of run support.

Are the Yankees good again? They have won the first 2 games of this series and 5 of their last 6. But they are still just 67-69 on the year & 8.5 games out of the Wild Card.
Cristian Javier will pitch for the Astros & he’s 4-1 in his last 5 starts against the Yankees including his 1 hit outing against them in the playoffs last year. He’s held them to a .157 avg lifetime.
Michael King will open for the Yanks but there’s no telling how deep into the game he will pitch.
I’m expecting the Astros bats to show up tonight & get Javier the run support he needs to get the Win.
CFB:

LSU (-120)
There’s pressure on LSU Coach Brian Kelly this season to take the next step to the CFB Playoff following winning the SEC West last season. He recently stated “we’re going to beat the heck out of Florida State.”
LSU fell just short of a miracle comeback vs Florida State last year in the season opener because of a blocked extra point with no time left on the clock. The Tigers will be out for revenge tonight.
Florida State’s defensive front will get a lot of pressure on LSU QB Jayden Daniels but I think that will actually open lanes for him to take off running. He had 114 rushing yards against FSU last season. Expect more of this tonight especially on key 3rd down plays to extend drives.
Jordan Travis & the Florida State offense can light it up but they were held to 24 vs LSU & less than that in 2 of the 3 games they played vs ranked opponents
Some experts say LSU’s defense has question marks but I expect them to show up
Florida State is 8-2 all time in this head to head series vs LSU but LSU has the better team & more potential this season. Plus LSU’s Coach is 47-3 straight up in his last 50 games as a favorite. Look for LSU to get it done tonight.
