Well Bobby sucked and so did that bet last night but the good news is that it’s THURSDAY and we are ON TO NFL OPENING NIGHT!!!
Teaser 7 Point
Ravens (+10) / Over (40) 🥈
It’s hard not to like this one with the only thought being that these defenses were both really good last year and it was 17-10 in the AFC Championship last year.
But looking back at that game, don’t forget the Ravens fumbled on the KC 11 yard line in the 3rd and threw an interception in the end zone in the 4th so if those two plays go the other way…the Ravens could have won 24-17 which puts us right in the 40 area for the teased over tonight. The Chiefs also failed to convert a 4th and 1 on the Ravens 13 yard line too.
I think Derrick Henry is going to be a MASSIVE add to this Ravens team who I expect to make a run at the Super Bowl. He will carry the load but the benefit will be the lanes he opens up for Lamar on options and also throws down the field when the D loads the box.
Mahomes and company should be able to do some scoring for us at home as well and we don’t have to worry about Kadarius Toney dropping wide open passes tonight like last year.
Close game and over 40 seems like a good bet even if it’s -120 to -140 on Draftkings and other books. Fanduel does not offer teasers on the same game.
Derrick Henry Anytime TD (-130) 🥇
Derrick Henry was 1st in rushing attempts, 2nd in rushing yards, and 7th in rushing touchdowns last season.
This will be his first game in the Ravens offense but they aren’t paying him $8 mil a year to not feed him the ball like the Titans did.
He’s scored 8 touchdowns in 6 career games against the Chiefs. The Chiefs were middle of the pack against the run last year so look for Henry to find the endzone tonight.
When I post multiple Same Game Parlays I suggest you pick ONE of them to play just because if you stack multiple SGPs and one guy gets hurt, he could blow multiple plays. I’ve been asked to post more parlays but you guys know I take pride in my record so I don’t always post longer shot parlays but that is changing this season.
Same Game Parlay - “Safe play” with Alternate Lines
Derrick Henry 50+ Rushing Yards / Travis Kelce 50+ Receiving Yards / Lamar Jackson 25+ Rushing Yards (+104) 🥉
Derrick Henry will play his first game for the Ravens and he’s been good against the Chiefs in the past running for 115, 86, 69, 188, 156, 58 for an average of 112 yards per game against them in his career.
Travis Kelce had 116 receiving yards against the Ravens in the AFC Championship last season and he’s gone over 50 receiving yards in 66% of his games last season
Lamar Jackson ran for 25+ yards in 17 of his 18 games last season including 54 vs the Chiefs in the AFC Championship so pretty good chance for that.
Same Game Parlay - “Aggressive”
Ravens ML / Derrick Henry Anytime TD / Derrick Henry Over 65.5 Rushing Yards / Rashee Rice Anytime TD (+1083) 5️⃣
But looking back at that game, don’t forget the Ravens fumbled on the KC 11 yard line in the 3rd and threw an interception in the end zone in the 4th so if those two plays go the other way…the Ravens could have won 24-17 which puts us right in the 40 area for the teased over tonight.
Derrick Henry has scored 8 touchdowns in 6 career games against the Chiefs
He’s also been able to rack up yards against the Chiefs in the past running for 115, 86, 69, 188, 156, 58 for an average of 112 yards per game against them in his career.
Rashee Rice scored a TD on opening night last season and had 7 TDs on the season, I expect him to progress this year and numbers to go up, he was 2nd in targets for the Chiefs last season as a rookie.
MLB:
7:20 EST
Braves (Lopez) (-1.5) 4️⃣
The Braves will be facing 4-10 Austin Gomber and they have GREAT numbers against him coming in hitting .327 against him in a good sample size of 49 at bats.
Reynaldo Lopez will pitch for the Braves and he’s rocking a 2.00 ERA on the season and even better 1.72 at home.
The Braves have outscored the Rockies 8-2 through the first 2 games of the series and that trend should continue tonight.
The Rockies have lost 4 of their last 5 and all 4 of those losses have come by 2+ runs.
