VIP Picks 9/5

Where do we go from here? The first football jackhammer goes down and in frustrating fashion. Clemson fumbles on the 1 and the 7 as well as missing multiple easy chip shot field goals. It was just disgusting. I didn’t even want to keep watching but I did just hoping that they would be able to sneak out a win late somehow some way. Just because they were easily moving the ball down the field but then they pissed their pants every time they got in the Red Zone. We lost 4 units on Clemson because we took them to cover the spread as well. Just disgusting and I won’t bet on them the rest of the season. Blue Jays game was no actioned because of a pitching change but the hit parlay counted and both guys got hits in their first at bat for us. So we are down 3.2 units on the week going into Tuesday. Not ideal but we will look to turn it around tonight.

MLB:

6:10 EST

Twins / Guardians NO Runs in the 1st (-120)

  • We took the under when these two faced each other last Wednesday and Sonny Gray pitched 7 scoreless innings and Tanner Bibee only allowed 2 runs in 5 innings

  • Sonny Gray gave up a lead off double before getting two strikeouts and a ground out.

  • Bibee struck out the side while allowing 1 walk in between

  • Gray is now 3-0 NO runs in the 1st against the Guardians this season

  • Bibee is 2-0 NO runs in the 1st against the Twins this season

  • Solid price at -120 for two good pitchers and two teams who have gone under just about every time they’ve faced each other this season

6:40 EST

Dodgers (Kershaw) (-142)

  • All hell is breaking lose in LA with the recent news of Urias and the fact that the Dodgers lost 3 out of 4 against the Braves

  • That won’t slow me down from jumping on them in the first game of their trip to the East Coast against the Marlins

  • Clayton Kershaw will take the mound and LA has won his last 6 starts in a row

  • Kershaw has held this Marlins lineup to a .154 avg

  • The Dodgers lineup will face Jesus Luzardo who they come in hitting over .300 against in a small sample size

6:40 EST

Player Prop Hit Parlay

Rafael Devers Hit / Yordan Alvarez Hit (-107)

  • We have 2 guys who have raked and I mean RAKED off of the opposing starting pitchers in this parlay

  • Starting with Devers, he comes in hitting .800 vs Zach Eflin, 4 for 5 with 2 career homeruns.

  • Devers has hit safely in

  • The risk with Alvarez is walks, he had 3 walks vs the Rangers yesterday. Walks take away at bats and chances to get a hit.

  • BUT the plus side is that he comes in hitting .700 vs Nathan Eovaldi, 7 for 10.

  • Alvarez has also hit safely in 7 of his last 10 games

  • -107 odds for these 2 guys is great value tonight

7:20 EST

Parlay

Braves ML / Blue Jays ML (+129)

  • The Braves are 3-0 against the Cardinals this season and they should keep that trend going at home tonight

  • They will face Miles The Mustache Mikolas who they come in hitting .304 against in their career and already beat him this season

  • Michael Soroka will pitch for the Braves and the Braves have won 4 of his last 5 starts more because of the run support he gets than his pitching but it should be a similar situation tonight with the Braves bats facing Mikolas.

  • The Cardinals don’t have much history vs Soroka

  • The Jays were supposed to face Ken Waldichuk yesterday but the A’s changed pitchers so he will get the start tonight.

  • This is the guy who they beat 12-1 earlier this season and scored 6 runs in 2.1 innings against him

  • Chris Bassitt will pitch for the Blue Jays and he’s a solid 13-7 on the season with an even more solid 3.03 ERA over his last 5 starts
