Illinois (-135)
At first glance it looks like Illinois and Duke cruised in Week 1 but Duke was actually only up by a touchdown bs FCS Elon a minute into the 4th quarter before pulling away. Elon scored 17 and ran the ball for 163 yards in that game. #11 Illinois will definitely be establishing the run game early and often in this one which will be a key reason they control this game and come out with the win. The Illinois defense will also be a huge step up in competition from the Elon defense that Duke faced last week. Give me the Fighting Illini today.

Iowa St (-3.5)
The game can be low scoring and ugly when these two teams get together but I’ll take #16 Iowa St with the points here. ISU QB Rocco Becht has been good this season and he threw for 272 yards on Iowa last season. He completed 95% of his passes last week. Iowa is going to run the ball and run the ball some more. They only had 44 passing yards against Albany last week. I’m confident the ISU defense will stack the box and slow the run down and on the flip side I think Becht will continue to make plays. ISU played a weak opponent last week but a 55 point game definitely gives their offense plenty of momentum going into the rivalry game. ISU went 6-1 at home last season too. Take the Cyclones to cover -3.5.

Ole Miss (-2.5) / Florida (-12.5)
Ole Miss taking on Kentucky who was put to the test by Toledo last week so a Top 25 SEC opponent will be a rude awakening for them today. Ole Miss racked up 695 yards of offense last week. Kentucky QB Zach Calzada was just 10 for 23 for 85 yards and 1 INT which is not good. It certainly won’t be enough to keep up with the high tempo high scoring Ole Miss offense. USF knocked off #25 Boise St in their first game but they will be missing their star QB in the 1st half after he was suspended for going to a party past his curfew. He will be back in the second half but it’ll be way too late vs this Gators team in The Swamp. Florida will be the superior team on both sides of the ball and should win this game by 2+ touchdowns.

Brewers (-158)
The Brewers just smoked Mitch Keller a few weeks ago for 6 runs in 4 innings in a 12-5 win and they get to face him again tonight. They come in hitting .333 against him lifetime. Brandon Woodruff will pitch for the Brew Crew and he tossed 4 scoreless innings against this Pirates lineup the last time he faced them.
